Brewers lose!  Bednar strikes out Contreras looking on a pitch way outside but the ump called it.

Milwaukee should have had two on at the end. The last pitch to Contreras was clearly outside.

FWIW, Rivas misread a catchable foul ball one pitch earlier and couldn't come up with it which could have ended the game.

Well, CB Bucknor gifted us that Pirates win.

I would have lost my mind if a reliever with a sub 2 ERA had blown 2 saves against the Brewers

Goal should be of course to have a 5 game lead or something going into that final Milwaukee series, but if we can at least be within 1 game, the winner of that series will take the division

3rd pitcher in the first 4 innings.

Amaya takes the 3rd pitch he sees out for a HR...maybe they should try a 4th.

Miguel Amaya just Nick Castellanos'd Boog's heartfelt condolence to Tim Kurkjian on his brother's passing from ALS.

Nice to see Wicks doing well, but I would feel a little better about him if he had a few k’s today. None in 4 innings. Not much swing and miss.

Definitely doesn't look as sharp as the last 2 games, given up some solid contact but it hasnt hurt him thus far.  Thankfully the Cubs have a 6 run lead to take some of the pressure off of him.

I'm heartened by the fact he's pitching well despite not having his best stuff. Still has a shutout despite all the traffic he's put on the basepaths.
