On the plus side Wicks might be able to get through 6 if the Cubs want to stretch him a bit.  What is his pitch count limit, 75?

66 pitches for Wicks through 5.

Sorry I meant what was the pitch count limit they had been trying to keep him at?

I think they let him go another inning, or at least start it.

Seems like a good situation for a Shane Greene inning, if not for the fact Greene was DFA.

Is it just me or has Wicks adjusted his mix as he's gone through the lineup again? Suddenly using the curve more and getting more swing and miss.

Everyone in the lineup has reached base, all but Swanson have a hit (Swanson has 2 walks).

They have 7 runs through 6 innings, having scored in 4 of the 6 innings, continuing to add on.

Canario watch is on if we get through this inning without giving up a run.

Could hit for Seiya, Tauchman, or Morel most likely.

Hottovy during that mound visit:  Jordan, Ross might actually put Canario in if you keep it scoreless, no pressure

is the entire bullpen gassed/hurt/hung over? every team the cubs face throw back to back bullpen games at them, using 7 pitchers every game. cubs act like they have a 4 man pen lol.

This is starting to feel like that Wesneski inning in Pittsburgh where Ross kept leaving him in and the other team got back into the game.
