  1. Jesse Rogers says it's a minor league deal. In which case, why not take the flier.
  2. When Ayers repeats his AFL numbers in full season ball, y'all are going to feel silly for not mentioning him at all here. (and when that definitely doesn't happen, I was just kidding guys!)
  3. What an incredible beatdown. It was a 40 point victory...but it wasn't really that close.
  4. I really don't know that's true at all.
  5. Arty has been exactly what was expected: really high highs and really low lows.
  6. Purely my opinion: Sign one of Imai / King Pay Keller and give him a chance to win a rotation job in the spring, relief as a fallback option Also sign Finnegan or other upper-mid reliever of choice See if trading Assad could get us a decent bat for the bench Spend any remaining cash on other quality bench guys as competition to Mo, Caissie, etc. Go get the typical fliers on relief guys There may not be enough cash in the budget for all that, but it's what I'd like to see happen. Imai/King, Shota, Horton, Boyd, Taillon, Keller, Rea, Brown as rotation options to start the year Add Steele & Wiggins as additional depth as the year goes on. We started nine different SP in 2025 (plus seven games with openers where there was no good SP option). We started nine different SP in 2024 (plus two games with openers where there was no good SP option). I really wouldn't mind signing two SP to have the depth there.
  7. I'm hoping Davidson sticks with the process for this season and doesn't get overly excited at the deadline. I don't think this team is nearly Cup-ready yet. But hot damn, they are playing much better than expected so far.
  8. That's not quite current. Celebrini and Bedard both had three more points last night.
  9. They are 9-3-3 in their last 15 games. They are legitimately playing good hockey.
  10. How is Bryce doing these days? Still think he's going to be better than Drew Brees?
  11. Blackhawks up 3-1 in the third. If they hold on, this will be about as good as could have been reasonably expected from this road trip.
  12. Also positive athleticism for defense
  13. I look forward to Derwood's head exploding when the Hawks move up from #11 to #1 in the draft.
  14. I initially read that as 2,454 feet and almost did a spit take.
  15. I would love one more bite at the top player in the draft apple, then have another couple decades before we're back there again.
  16. I'm hoping they come up just short and the NHL actually does rig the lottery for the Hawks to get McKenna
  17. My take has been, holy crap are they fast
  18. And the two point conversion is good!
  19. Holy crap, where did this game come from?
  20. But what else have the Romans ever done for us?
  21. I'm sorry, what? I'm interested in Robert if he's a free agent on a prove-it contract. Perhaps as a trade acquisition where we give up something minimal and take on the contract. But what you suggest? That's insanity.
  22. Just spitballing...He was so bad in the first half that there weren't any buyers.
  23. I don't think they'll take the chance, but I could be overestimating their cheapness.
  24. I don't think the White Sox want to pay him $20M next year. They may pick up the option, but I'd have to think their intent would be to trade him after he showed some life in the second half.
  25. I'm all for trading Shaw if we can get value for him and slot in a good replacement. Yes, I'm still pissed about leaving the team during a playoff race.
