This. I was actually surprised the infield was in. I had just commented on how he had to have the infield back so a ground ball a infielder could get to if he is back doesn’t go thru. I assumed he was going to trade an out for a run there.

Yes, just too inconsistent, look at the last at bat, Contreras didn't have a chance.  Unfortunately, he can't replicate that from batter to batter.  Although, I'm not going to blame him for Chourio' hit, that was pure luck.

Cubs winning in the playoffs is going to fall mainly into the bats hands...

Even with good SP, theyre not likely to win games 2-1, or 3-2 mainly because of the bullpen. 

Webb if healthy and still pitching well when he returns and Rolison can't pitch every game, theyll still need 2-3 others to step up, and right now, theres nobody that you can feel comfortable saying he'll be the guy, if there is 1 or 2, itll be a pleasant surprise..

They are a better run team top to bottom, dude. They consistently produce great pitching and top prospects. Cant remember the last time we produced multiple home grown pitchers. Horton looked good but after that. Nothing

I don't care that they brought Boyd out for the 8th, but once he gave up the leadoff walk to a lefty it was time to pull the plug, IMO.  I think he was at around 95 pitches at that point

Way too easy to criticize a manager after something doesn’t work. See how well the pen did when Boyd came out? Boyd shiiukd have stayed in to pitch the 8th. Things just didn’t work for him.

Must be nice to get a runner from 3rd home with less than 2 outs.  Doing it 2 times in one inning is incredible.  Never seen anything like it.

 I agree with this. It was right to leave Boyd in. It is on Boyd not to walk the 8th place hitter and give up a double to the 9th place hitter.

The two largest differences it seems are the Brewers bullpen and their hitters actually paying attention to situational hitting. They don’t always try to hit a homer with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs.

The ball to Chourio was a foot above the zone that resulted in a ****** grounder. Putting any blame on him for this is dumb

It sucks that they even make the playoffs. Why would anyone want to watch these ground ball/bloop hitting blow hards on national TV? It’s boring baseball.
