  1. Cubs Show Their True Colors in Wednesday Night Loss to the Cardinals /nsbb front page news
  2. Unless Busch can improve his wRC+ by one point in the next week, Jed should sell.
  3. It is dangerously hot there, so I get it. But I turned on the Reds v Cards game in the 10th right when there was a wide shot, and I legitimately wondered if something happened in St Louis today that caused them not to allow fans in the ballpark. Again, I wouldn't want to be there either
  4. It really is OK to sit out a take every once in a while.
  5. Sliding into home on an outfield throw is tough because the plate is borderline underground but you also don't want to dislocate your shoulder sliding into a shinguard. I kinda think Happ was out by the letter of the law but I appreciate the logic of calling him safe. Replay drives me crazy on some of these slides.
  6. Does Sut spend all day in the manager's office, or does he just talk about every conversation he had in there on air
  7. PCA is gonna head into the All Star break (hopefully he doesn't have to bat again) with a .386 OBP. A legitimate 'best hitter on a good team' 1st half performance. Plus all the other stuff he does, obviously.
  8. I was half way expecting MLB network to do a Charles Johnson comp for Lackey.
  9. That was a weird one. I'm thinking Wolf just used the wrong phrasing by saying "fan interference". Maybe just meant it literally bounced off the fan's finger but he didn't reach onto the field of play?
  10. It seems like a) the Cubs maybe adjusted their strategy for the batters to wait and b) the calls are not as obvious when you're not watching on tv with the strike zone graphic. He's had quite a few misses through 3.5 innings, yet the Padres went 0-2 on challenges. It's hard!
