Theyre either getting shutout by the kid or knocking him out by the 3rd inning 🤷🤷

I predict no hit through 6 but with a high pitch count so they'll be forced to take him out

is taylor an upgrade over suzuki in RF? doesn't suzuki have really good fielding metrics these days?

I am just thrilled that Happ isn't starting against a lefty.

Seiya might win a gold glove this season.

Taylor AND Alcantara? Eep

Loading it up with righties. Happ is to be considered a lefty from here on out.

Might just want to give Seiya a day off from playing the field. Taylor has played a little center for the Cubs too, and he isn’t better than PCA in center. CC just trying to give guys some rest.

Anderson's best pitch is a changeup too

Yeah, I checked his stats again, and pretty much every stat shows that he's better against RHB.

I don’t want to be that guy…….but why do I get this “Doom and gloom” feel around this team? They’re on projection to win 90+ games and are elite in so many areas, but I just don’t get a good feel about where they are. Phillies are on a terror and have three shutdown starters. Most playoff caliber teams have at least a couple guys they can roll out and compete each game. Cubs pitching staff is just hold your breath and hope they bring their stuff. Then the bats are so hot and cold. I just have a bad feeling - 🤷‍♂️

Easy, they dont have a shutdown starting pitcher, theyre all basically guys you hope to get that QS ( 6ip 3 runs) from and be happy with that..

A bullpen of mostly guys that can't be trusted to get a clean inning from.

Offense that been jeckyll and hyde all season.

They may squeak pass the WC round,  the Division round will be a coin flip cause you dont know what pitching youll get or which offense will show up.

Right - we don’t have elite top of the order pitching which is exactly the recipe for October success.  We are not built for the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Seattle has 4 guys who would be in the argument for the Cubs' best pitcher, Anderson, and another 20-y/o top 50 prospect pitcher tearing up AA to the tune of 11 k/9 with a 7.14 k/bb (Ryan Sloan- who also happens to be from Elmhurst)
