The Cubs will push this as far as they can. I'd expect them to go as long as they can on these controlled SP. Deadlines spur moves. And then pivot to fallbacks in the last 30

Who is Scott Hughes? He is reporting Detmers to the Cubs for Ayers, Escobar and Kipp. But I don’t see that anywhere or know who he is.

Part of the reason for getting Gausman done last night is to make sure you can't get caught with your pants completely down today.

Worst case scenario is another Kittredge/Rogers sort of deal to close this out.  Not great but a hell of a lot better when it's Gausman you have banked instead of Soroka.

usually "i don't see this news anywhere outside of a twitter account who i don't know" is a pretty strong signal that something isn't real, especially when it was posted two hours ago. but if you're still not sure whether it's legitimate or not, you might be inclined to scroll down his feed and see posts like this

ultimately, there's just no way to know for sure whether this guy is a genuine reporter. only time will tell
