It's shocking how much other team's fans hate PCA. It's way worse than ever was with even Javy.

I know and it's hilarious.

PCA homering off Miz would drive Brewers fans mad.

He homers in the top of the first and does this as he heads to CF for the bottom of the first.

I don’t see how the pitching holds up without a number of trades due to a lack of reinforcements from injuries.

They have a -.5 fWAR during this 6-1 stretch thanks to the offense scoring 9/game.

Thornton did the job.  I love it.

I love his passion.  He wants those tough situations.  He may fail but he ain't pitching scared!!

It’s depressing how low the bar is.

You're facing the surefire Cy Young winner (assuming he doesn't get hurt), a guy who is 8-1 with a 2.50 ERA, and Brandon Woodruff.

And you can't count on a Keystone Cops routine from their defense

This weekend is brutal, but after Milwaukee we don't face another good SP until Cincinnati the last series before the ASB.  Dustin May and Walker are probably the top dogs in that three series span.

I know. The fact that we’re void of pitching talent thanks to being decimated with injuries while hoping we’d beat out those fucks for first place 4 months ago to not even score board watching anymore is depressing.

If there's a positive, the Brewers over the last 10 games really aren't hitting well. They've got a 93 wRC+ over that span. That's not to horsefeathers on the Brewers or to say they suck, but they're not having a good go offensively right now,, Now, the Cubs pitching staff may simply be cure to their hitting woes, but we might be catching them during their own slump which may even the playing field.

For comparison's sake, the Cubs are leading baseball in wRC+ over that same span.

Cubs will fix that, they always do.

I was thinking of heading up to Milwaukee for a game but might wait until the Labor Day game. Maybe the pitching matchups will be a bit more even

The best chance to win a game vs Brewers is to do what we did against Peralta.  Somehow get a solid SP performance and get into the bullpen where we have a better chance to do some damage.  Basically try to steal one late.  If we get behind by a few runs early it’s going to be wishful thinking to climb back into it. At least we have hitters who are back on track.  Brewers are just a better team right now.

No it's not just Met fans, it's across all of baseball that he's genuinely hated, it's baffling to me.

I think people automatically think cocky kid. Came from LA and parents were actors. I also think they think entitled. Funny thing is PCA is not cocky. He is a kid. And honestly, I have met him a few times and he has been very respectful. I have also seen many stories of him just approaching kids and playing ball with them. He is actually a good guy, put people out preconceived opinions of him so they decide to not like him.

Yeah, everything about the way he interacts with kids screams the opposite of cocky douche.
