nothing counsell loves more than taking out a guy that is pitching perfectly fine in favor of dipping into the mystery box of trash that is this bullpen.

Well, if Maton gives up only 1 run, that's a good day.

It really is - standards have lowered with many from our pen

It is what it is

Lancaster, Heredia, Remlinger, Assenmacher, and Mulholland stick out in my head as being the most used relievers.

Dusty Favorite Bob Howry

Madden Favorite Steve Cishek

Both over 80 appearances

Again - many people claim the whole “hindsight is always 20/20” or “he did his job” (after pitching 1-5 pitches to get one out), but Counsell is notorious at doing that since the days with Milwaukee. To me it’s like he goes strictly off data and analytics. Baseball is huge with that no doubt, but sometimes just go with the horsefeathers hot hand, ya know?

The Mets are at such a huge advantage at this point of the game with their bullpen vs. the Cubs. If they don't win tonight they'll never win.

Unless  the cubs hitters revert back to suckage again

Literally no one out there inspires any confidence.

This is the truth. None are doing well.

Yeh but Counsell needs to realize this bullpen doesn't even enter the same universe like the one he had in Milwaukee.

He needs a little more patience with guys that are going well

I shouldn’t be surprised considering Imanaga and Taillon were 1-2 in HR allowed at one point but I wasn’t aware we’d given up the most home runs in the league.

I haven't looked but I would assume it's not even close

Before today we’d allowed 3 more than the A’s and 5 more than the Nats.

can't remember the last game they managed to not give up a homer

They’re 13 arms short basically. The Cubs have a had bad pitching staffs before but none this bad on a team with playoff aspirations.
