I genuinely have no idea how someone has not been fired. Deserved or not, for a team to completely implode like this and for the organization to just sits on its hands and does nothing is a terrible look.

Counsell has a small role to play in this mess, but sometimes players need a new voice. If the Cubs become sellers at the deadline, I can see him fired.

That’s 11 HR allowed in Shota’s last 4 starts and 9 in his last 3 starts (though to be fair one of them is PCAs botch).

that has to be close to a record right?

Please tell me that I am not the only one that wants Imanaga jettisoned to the pen or traded for the ghost of Randy Wells.

Maybe, Jamo can beat the record.😅

Hey those mighty A’s will be .500 if they finish off this win.  Certainly not a team the Cubs should be getting swept by at home but I think they are decent at least

I know. Frrusation leads to stupid takes.

Of all the stupid takes you choose his pointing out the A’s aren’t terrible as a stupid take? I can find numerous comments far more ridiculous than that. And I don’t even need to look far.

Maybe this isn’t going to be their year . I have concerns going forward as well . Other teams in the division have better minor league systems . Very difficult situation that they are in .

How many consecutive days has an NL Central team been over .500? Insane that it might be the Cubs, who were 15 over .500 at one point, to break that streak

If Bregman has started his decline , they have a big mess with him and Swanson on that side of the infield

and I criticize hoyer a lot, so i want to give him props on what is prob his best move. paying shota $20 mil this year instead of $20 mil this AND $20 mil next year was really shrewd. kudos to hoyer.
