but you can tell he's frustrated. Yes, he's in a deep funk right now, but I'm tired of the rhetoric about him just cashing in his $35m and not caring.

I agree with you - No argument there - that’s a crazy take if that’s being said.
They all care, but they’re just in a dark place right now.

Totally fair.

It’s a pity that none of Ian Happ’s 1000 hits helped him during that AB.

Had me interested to see how many of his hits came in clutch situations.

A statistical breakdown of how his milestone 1,001 hits are distributed by game leverage on Baseball-Reference reveals the following:

High Leverage (Game-deciding moments): 239 hits

Medium Leverage (Important middle innings): 295 hits

Low Leverage (Blowouts or early innings): 467 hits

This is a pointless post unless you can tell us the amount of AB he had in those situation. My guess is 40-50% of his AB are low leverage.

Obviously most of the AB are going to be early and low leverage , this was just to break down his 1000 hits in those situations is all.

You knew one was coming,  was just a matter of when and if it were going to be a solo shot or not

It’s be cool if we got some of them too - with some runners on too for a change lol

Oh good, how do you sell hope to a fanbase after their team has sucked for a long time? Edward Cabrera is starting tomorrow and Matt Boyd will be back soon. Two pitchers who have absolutely sucked this year.

So the wait for good news continues,

Just like Rea yesterday, Shota has been solid tonight.

And, Jamo 2 days ago.
