Hayes hit a HR today that only would have been a HR at Wrigley and Houston. PCAs triple would have been a HR at GABP.

It's gonna suck when the Cubs get a runner on base and Shaw takes the at bat in place of Ballasteros.

It was the right move to pinch run for him, but it didn't work out.

Conforto got you covered, my guy.

The third base and bench alone is worth 1.5 more wins than at the 35 game mark a year ago.

This is a completely different offense with Suzuki too. It’s just so frustrating how streaky he is because when he’s on he’ll carry an offense.

thankfully Suarez is on the IL or he probably would have hit 3 homers in this game

The trade off is we might see career scrub/Cub killer Randal Grichuk in a couple weeks in a Whitesox uniform, a career 761 OPS with a 961 vs Cubs pitching in 200 PAs.

Conforto’s turnaround after those few at bats he took early has been unreal . . He is crushing the ball . Too bad there aren’t at bats available for him .

With that said having him swinging like this of the bench is pretty big as well .

Better problem to have than choosing the less stinky sh!t end of the Berti/Brujan stick as the starting third baseman. I think we’ll see him split some time with Mo at DH more frequently.

The Reds run diff is -23. They know they’re frauds and now they’re on a losing streak to prove it.

Cards are too stupid to realize they should do the same.

Having Conforto off the bench is massive. I hope he continues to play like this. Good find by Hoyer.

That's the third game you could say he made a huge contribution to winning for us already this year.  If he does nothing else that's pretty valuable.

No doubt Grichuk is a scrub's scrub, nevertheless, there's something about the Reds that annoys the horsefeathers out of me.  Friedl, Steer and Stephenson are irritating, it's not because they're exceptional, all about average players, just get under the skin.  It was great to see the Cubs beat them in such a soul-crushing-kick-in-balls manner.

When they’re good and we suck they destroy us. When we’re good we’re lucky to sweep them in any given year. Outside of 2015 and 16 they’ve always been a nuisance. Marty brennamans rant added another layer of salt. I could be off base but that’s what this rivalry feels like. It’s also mandatory that they have at least 1 Cub killer in their lineup like Austin Kearns, Votto, Suarez, Any of the Valentin brothers. Etc

I’m still pissed about 2004 as well.

You're not off base, lots of things to dislike, horsefeathers 2004, didn't Willy Mo Pena pull some throw out of his ass to help beat the Cubs that season as well?

Rewatching the highlights from last night - NOBODY thought that was a HR off the bat on the last pitch.
