FG has Assad as the corresponding move and he hasn't pitched since 4/2, so would be ready to go tomorrow and then...Rea on Wednesday?

Going to need the bats to arrive, and quickly.

When it rains it pours I guess - ugh. I really hope Boyd and Horton heal up quickly.
Bats need to help them out 🤷‍♂️

Have the Cubs players tried like not getting injured?

Glad we have rotation depth and a wizard that seems to make it work with whatever he has in Hottovy.

Good news at least is bicep is not usually a precursor for something worse like a forearm.

Bad news is eyeballing some prior examples this looks like it takes him out a month to a month and a half.

'Cubs fully expect this to be a minimum IL stint for Boyd. The issue has been in his recovery and they feel a little break will allow him to regain full health.' - Taylor McGregor per Twitter

Reassuring, I guess, but probably raises more questions than it answers.

Cubs let the guy they ground into the dirt last year coming off TJS to throw 98 pitches in his 2nd start on April 1.

Everyone kind of knew Boyd was going to break at some point. Hopefully this isn't one of those one month things that lasts until July. On the bright side Edward Cabrera's arm hasn't fallen off yet. I'm glad Shota took the QO

Didn't expect to lose 2 starters before going through the rotation twice 🤦

WTF were these guys doing during ST

May cant come soon enough to get Steele back

Now, it's time for Jamo and Assad to shine.  Rea will be Rea, so I'm not worried much about him.

there's probably the same likelihood that steele is done as a relevant pitcher than there is that he comes back and posts a sub-4 era this year

Giolito

Tyler Anderson

Alex Cobb

Nestor Cortes

Kopech

Losing  Horton, Boyd and Wicks this early in the year they have to add an arm , otherwise at some point this season Vince Velasquez will be in Chicago.
