  1. Happ is probably a great guy but I can’t find the words to describe how happy i am that we don’t have to suffer through the obscene atrocity of watching him attempt to make contact with major league pitching today.
  2. I would sell my soul to never see Happ or Suzuki step in the box ever again. Its a disgrace to the concept if professional sports to pay them to hit a baseball.
  3. If Happ sat until the heat death of the universe i would not complain
  4. Its a shame to see Happ go out like this but he’s beyond incapable of hitting major league pitching.
  5. The defence of Ian Happ on this weeks episode of the podcast aged like the firefighters that responded to Chernobyl.
  6. I agree with you on the 23 game period of being the best, I just don’t see a way they can survive rolling out a starting rotation with one guy who still would be there if everyone was healthy (Shota) and he finished 2025 completely unplayable and hasn’t looked good lately. Lineup has been horrible but lately but they seem to just be streaky.
  7. It is absolutely a huge assumption to figure that a team missing its top 4 starting pitchers will be buyers at the deadline.
  8. At this point the idea the Cubs will be buys at the deadline is a huge assumption. Through 50 games we have a 23 game stretch of an elite team, sandwich’d by 27 games of potentially the worst team in the NL. Could go either way.
  9. Congrats to Paul Skenes for his 85 pitch no hitter next week.
  10. Maton looks so miserable after getting pulled you’d think he just watched himself pitch in real time.
  11. Anecdotally feels like we haven’t had a clean first inning in a long time.
  12. Hard to get a read on them, white hot for a stretch consisting of almost half the games so far, book ended by multi week long runs of looking like a 95-100 loss team. Weird stuff.
  13. Super hard not to be a doomer about the team right now, they are truly atrocious at everything a baseball team does. If its not the starter getting crushed, the lineup doesn’t do anything. If the lineup manages to scrape anything across, the bullpen gets completely nuked by randoms. Can’t win regularly when you are abysmal in all facets of the game.
  14. Man this has been some truly awful baseball in every phase of the game for some time now. Find myself staying up to watch west coast games so I can remember what the major leagues look like lol.
  15. Given the spot in the game, him making that challenge was absolutely selfish and absolutely makes him a moron. I would be livid if I was Brown or any of the fielders he screwed tonight.
  16. That was a level of selfishness you never see in pro sports
  17. Its a non issue if our starter had even a room temperature iq.
  18. Leave Boyds stupid ass in California. Unbelievably,,unspeakably dumb human being.
  19. Boyd out of the game and hes still hurting the team. What an utter moron.
  20. Would’ve preferred to not lose 5/6 these series but holy god are the starters all pitching like #5s right now.
