  1. People who are upset about losing Tucker did not watch games after April. People who want a salary cap should not be allowed to watch baseball. Salary caps are pro billionaire and anti labour. I would rather cut the bottom third of MLB out than suffer the utter catastrophe of a salary cap.
  2. People who say the 2020 was meaningless suck. That was the worst year of most people’s lives and those games mattered to me.
  3. He played games with the Astros in 2018, the investigation concluded the sign stealing operation was still running during that season.
  4. Most professional athletes are not the kinds of people I would want kids looking up to, this has been the case for my entire life. I wouldn’t be able to enjoy sports if I required the players on my favourite teams to be good human beings. I assume you didn’t watch any games last year because Tucker, another member of the sign stealing Astros was on the team?
  5. If a players morals mean anything to you, you’re a pretty bad sports fan. If Hannibal Lecter was an all star at 3B we’d call it an eating disorder
  6. If you can’t ignore someones off field views because you disagree with them then maybe a sport where the majority of players are white and grew up in wealthy families isn’t for you boss.
  7. I’ll wait to be upset about a negative until it actually happens, sports are supposed to be fun.
  8. Are these durable MLB pitchers in the room with us right now?
  9. Selling the farm at the deadline once we saw how bad the offence was without a healthy Tucker would’ve been wildly bad asset management
  10. Being upset about negative hypotheticals must be horsefeathers exhausting
  11. He got booed off the field in a game during the second half. Also had an atrociously lazy attempt to “run” down a pretty routine fly ball in the walkoff loss in Miami.
  12. Him and every other pitcher on earth
  13. I am a redheaded Canadian, my like of him as a player on the Cubs is not based on stats.
  14. Man trading Caissie would kill me 😢
  15. To be fair to the Cubs, you have no idea how much money will be available to spend in 2027 after the lockout.
  16. “The sole major market in a division should dominate that division the majority of the time” is not exactly a hot take lol.
  17. Bo would be pretty foolish to leave Toronto, especially for a market like NY. On the Jays he’s a god, in NY the SS is just flamed for not being Jeter
  18. My argument is moreso that replacing Tuckers production is not really a big deal because he was replacement level for three months. They won 90 games with him doing essentially nothing for half the year.
  19. You did watch the games right? Literally anyone with a pulse. He was hard to watch
  20. Losing Tucker sucks if you stopped watching after April. Im sure the Cubs can find someone to hit lazy grounders at the 1B for far cheaper
  21. There are 30 teams in MLB and only 1 can win the World Series every year. I will take a playoff appearance and winning a round in that tournament 100/100 times with zero complaint. I watched about 150 games start to finish and saw the majority of about 10 others, and had fun every day. The negativity of “fans” who watch less than 100 games will not change how I remember 2025.
