I am really getting tired of bum ass relief pitchers getting to come in for 5-10 minutes and utterly destroy an otherwise fantastically played baseball game by all else involved. Just defeats the entire point of everything. You can’t enjoy high effort and good plays because you know some horsefeathers parasite is warming up in the pen the take a steamy dump on the concept of competitive sports. Not even necessarily the Cubs exclusively (obviously the bullpen is putrid and should have Hoyer looking for a job) but every night I turn on a game and sooner or later some dickhead who either throws 100 with no location is walking 10 guys home or throws 79 and gets nuked by all 9 hitters is coming out of the bullpen to completely destroy what had been a fantastic game. Idk what can be done, or if my perception is skewed by following the worst pitching staff in baseball currently, but MLB needs to find a way to end the reliance on relief pitchers and keep starters healthy and throwing 7-8 innings, because its just a garbage product. Jacob Webb and co. are in the major leagues and people talk about expansion of the league. What a joke.

Man Thielbar is another guy who’s just been absolutely demolished lately. You’d almost have to try to give up contact like that.

I wonder what they could even get by selling off at the deadline, not a lot of big league talent on the roster these days.

Its crazy how hard the Cubs pitchers just get absolutely crushed. Feels like nobody else in baseball is giving up this kind of contact this frequently. 4-5 times a game somebody goes prime Barry Bonds on this team.

Idk how you don’t see this roster and immediately fire Hoyer. This is by far the worst team in MLB. Even watching like Rockies etc, they look worlds beyond what this team is. The talent disparity is terrifying.
