Phillies should be trying to get Buxton to waive his no-trade clause.

Not when your top OF prospect is Justin Crawford and should be competing for a roster spot in ST after he just put up a very good full season at AAA in 2025.

MLB Execs ranked the Cubs high at drafting and an underrated farm system.

It wasn't too long ago that the Cubs had one of the highest rated farm systems in baseball. It's just that a lot of the players that ranked them so high have graduated beyond prospect status, or traded for MLB players.

I missed it earlier somehow but Addison Russell and Joe Madden are surprises for this years  Cubs convention. Travis wood, Mike Montgomery, Ben Zobrist , are busy guys in retirement it seems. I love that despite a recent Bruce Levine tweet suggesting it was would be disrespectful for current players to come ......... Old friend Carl Edwards is on the list and as signed by the Mets with plans to use him as a starter..

and somehow no Sosa . I feel like if they put you in the Cubs hall of fame you have to attend every year until you die.

Unless you are Mark Grace, then you disappear forever.

Two different lists circulating through official cubs channels right now. This most recent list on twitter omits Travis wood, Ben Zobrist, and Mike Montgomery, Cubs.com has them attending.

By no means am I an Addison Russell fan and I couldn't tell you anything he has done in the last 5 years.  I do know he did some really bad things over an extended period of time prior to that.  Maybe this is a bit too soon, but what if he has turned his life around?  I do think we need to be willing to give people a chance to come back from their past transgressions.  He may still be a scumbag, but maybe he isn't.  He was a big part of the 2016 team though, and if he has taken steps forward in his life, I'm ok with him being included in events celebrating that team.

Exactly, he did a scumbag thing but we dont know what hes been doing the last 7 years to help better himself as a person and how things are going now between him and his Ex and son.

It could just be a one time thing with the organization where he only participate in a 2016 team reunion and yes he was a huge part of that postseason run getting some big hits, especially in game 5 NLCS and Game 6 World Series.
