Do I even torture myself and watch this?

Why watch? The Cubs offense will make this guy look like prime Maddux.

If the Cubs can finish this post ASB 21 game gauntlet playing 500 ball vs MLB heavy weights like the Orioles, Royals, Whitesox and the Cardinals, it’s a win in my book.

The worse the pitcher is the more inevitable the cubs can’t do anything at all about him

Throw any and all scrubs at us

Our kryptonite isn't actually kryptonite. It's just ordinary looking rocks.

I give this team credit , because the offense broke a lot sooner than September this season . Less painful like this . Funny thing is  Tucker is leading the way .

Hopefully Carter Hawkins goes once his contract is up . They need someone with a  more agressive mindset than him with Hoyer . They probably have the most conservative and boring front office in baseball .

With that said with Hoyers extension done , I imagine his is not too far behind , unfortunately

Like 2 guys are hitting who gives horsefeathers about the order of the lineup right now

Exactly.  What order of failure do we want to watch?

This is about as even a matchup between two mediocre pitchers as you can get.

This mediocre pitcher for the Cards actually looks better than the mediocre pitcher we could not score on.

I'm all for raging on Jed and Tom but time for some of the guys we have on the roster to wake TFU and start hitting.

Yep. No lineup combination is going to be the secret sauce to sparking these dead bats.

Produced so many runs last night, might as well run it back out there

May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'C E UBS 1B STARTING RTINGLINEUP LINEUP August9 9, 2025 6:15 Busch Stadium AT 麵 1 Michael Busch 2 Seiya Suzuki 3 Kyle Tucker 4 Carson Kelly 5 Pete Crow-Armstrong CF 6 lan Happ 7 Nico Hoerner 8 Dansby Swanson 9 Matt Shaw DH RF c LF 2B sS razr 3B Colin Rea P Watch: FOX Listen: 670 The Score'

Is this the same line up? Doesn’t look like it to me. What is he supposed to do? Do you want Berti and Turner in the line up or is this just venting just to vent?

In calling it now. From now through 8/24 Cubs will go 11 and 5 and cut Brewers lead to 2 games and own the tiebreaker.
I reserve the right to delete this post at any time!!!!!
Tired of all the negativity about a team that has been a top 5 team in baseball all year.

I tell you what, if the Cubs do that in your post, I will give up negativity about the Cubs for the rest of the 2025 season.

Didn't even consider that Hawkins could be the fall guy as his contract expires after the season.  So yes, maybe Hoyer should consider hiring a guy that will be the actual GM of this team and make the players decisions . 🤷‍♂️

If they lose tonight, I'd be totally ok with seeing Berti, Castro, McGuire, and Turner tomorrow night and sit Happ Tucker etc .

Give those guys 2 full days off
