Can't really say enough good things about Palencia.  He's been like the best closer in baseball the last month.  I'm sure when the season started, Jed had a dozen names in mind for closer and Palencia was not one of them.

Exciting to see a young player take his role on the team with his performance

Fly the W. Big win.

Dominant performance by Brown. Why not start him the second inning next time also?

Ok the sleepy lineup woke up just in time and Palencia notched that 5th save.  Suck it reds! Do it again tomorrow

1 hit for the Reds, not an easy task. Bullpen and Brown made it happen.

Honestly, I was waiting for Brown to lose it, to his credit, he remained dialed in, the potential to get better is there.  I know the starting pitching is a concern nevertheless, guys like Brown and Horton have the potential to get better coupled with 3 other solid guys does offer some hope.

I know that extensions for relievers are generally frowned upon but I would not mind a 2 or 3 year extension for Kepler.  They've unlocked something with him and I don't see it suddenly changing

Kepler or Keller?

Cubs, I like winning more than losing. So, let's continue to win.

Yeah definitely need to do this opener thing for Brown more often. Think it was especially effective today with the reds forgetting how to hit lefties.

Also this offense is slumping hard, think we can stop pretending that Marquez and the rest of the rockies staff were some secret Ace pitchers

Love to see the catch probability on that 2nd out.

10%

He also said PCA added 0.99 OAA today alone.

That was a terrible pitch.

The horsefeathers Brewers have hung 12 on Luzardo

At least a Phillies loss means the Cubs will end the night tied for the best record in the NL with the Phillies and possibly Dodgers
