Is Rea a flyball pitcher?

Generally speaking, no. He's a career 40% ground ball guy. However, this year he's running a GB% 10% lower and I would classify that as approaching "fly ball territory". He's thrown his 4-seam far more this year and his sinker far less, so it may not just be a function of sample size. The Cubs are one of the highest 4-seam-fastball usage teams, so this change feels intentional. Whether or not he leans into the fastball or the sinker today could be a function of game plan or keeping with what is working.

Carroll and Smith are absolutely murdering pitchers right now. That lineup is dangerous. And of course we can't figure Suarez out while the rest of the league turns him into a 150 hitter.

We really need Happ and Dansby to get going.

I've got faith in Happ. He always starts slow. I wouldnt be surprised if hes still hitting like trash in mid may, but then we will look at his overall line at the end of the year and he will have career numbers or in line with them again.

Or that horsefeathers catcher, Moreno, he's good, but, he's not that good.

Pavin Smith now has a 630 BABIP in 56 PA, what in the world

Screwed around on these leaderboards for a few seconds. Our boy Chris Morel has a .278 batting average and .739 OPS. Not bad, right? .500 BABIP. Christ.

It's crazy how quickly things change this time of year. Just a few days ago I checked and he was hitting over 300 with an 830.

Just like how Dansby entered L.A. with a 120 and left with an 80 wRC+ or something.

Well, Brujan can't hit worth a damn but at least he made an error at his earliest possible opportunity

Hoyer did a really banged up job on his reserves..lol

Shaw aside, Not one guy is worth playing more then once a week, we need to pray none of the others need more then 2-3 games off due to injury.
