Why is PCA out this game? Isn’t he here for defensive purposes and base stealing.

Because Ross wanted to bunt our slowest runner to 2nd with our hottest hitter and then turned to Wisdom to weaken our defense

It wouldn’t be quite as bad for a couple reasons but we’re awfully close to our version of Cincy collapsing against Pittsburgh last week.

When you posted this, I was going to say it would be nowhere near as bad.  Somehow, it ended up being even worse.

I can't wait til Ross is gone.

I really think he needs to go. Just grab bagging horsefeathers every single game. I don't blame him for the bullpen insanity because we have nothing but some of these moves with the offense defy rational thought

What’s the point of watching these next 2 if we’ll be scratching and clawing to hold the lead. If we couldn’t hold a 6-0 with our best starter on the mound there’s really no hope for these next 2.

Yes, I’m just crying. For fucks sake.

Yeah, I mean every move he made tonight turned to horsefeathers. It isn't his fault Seiya dropped the ball, but his management of PCA has been inexplicable.

Yeah, it probably was. I didn’t watch any of that Reds collapse but I think this was worse.

Probably their best shot to steal a game against the Braves being up 6 zip late, unless the Braves clinch home field tomorrow and rest everyone on Thursday.

I’m absolutely not watching and following the next 2 games. I wasn’t planning to watch or follow today until a friend texted me that it was 4-0 cubs

I can't wait until the Braves make this close and the Cubs pinch hit for their defensive replacement who came in way too early.

Oh by the way, this was entirely predictable.

There is absolutely no chance whatsoever we don't lose the last playoff spot to Miami on a tiebreaker. None.

Don’t worry about tie breakers . The Cubs won’t win one game the whole week . It won’t be a factor .

Not sure about anything that anyone has to say. Except Suzuki dropped the ball in the most important game of the season. A professional couldn’t make a catch my dead great grandfather could have made. DISGUSTING!

I watched it multiple times and I still don't even understand what happened on that ball. It's one thing to drop a routine fly ball, but to appear camped under it and just whiff completely doesn't make any sense.

He didn't camp under it. He lollygagged. He should have gotten far more underneath it.

This is what happens when you use bubble gum and duct tape to assemble and keep together a bullpen.

This team has had way too many infuriatingly stupid one and two run losses this season. I don't know if it's bad management, bad roster construction, or something else.

I guess "coasted" would be a better description.  It didn't have the look of a typical play where a fielder loses the ball in the lights.

According to Seiya, he saw it until the very last second.

He is visibly upset in the post game interview. It was hard to watch.
