I thought that happened last week

Wrong. Nothing has ever happened and never will. This offseason is a black hole of signings.

Anibal Sanchez to the Nats on a 2/19. After looking like the career might be over, he turned in a super solid 2018 and should be another excellent piece in a dominant Washington staff .

The Miller signing is a lot like the Goldschmidt trade. It substantially improves the Cards at a position of need which is obviously bad, but at the same time I was bracing for Craig Kimbrel so in that sense it's a relief.

Soria to the A's

Kinda glad we avoided him. His contract wasn’t bad or anything but would hope we are aiming higher. Robertson, Allen, Ottavino, Britton (if medicals check out and they feel good), etc.

Do we have the money to aim higher?

Robertson is the only one of those guys I'd prefer to Soria(and it's close), especially at 2/17. The only available reliever who has been better than Soria the last 2 years is Kimbrel, and available and unavailable there's been less than 10 relievers better in that timeframe.

2/25 for Miller. Certainly reasonable, but obviously he just might be broken. I’d do that same deal +/- for Britton or Allen (I’m starting to really be intrigued by Allen, his underlying stuff was mostly fine/inline with his awesome years last year and if the market never fully develops for him I’d love to add him).

The Dodgers and Reds are “finalizing a significant trade,” according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports (Twitter link). Details are not known, but it’s believed to involve “multiple Major League pieces.”

Guessing it's Puig to the Reds, giving the Dodgers money for Harper.

SIGH.
