What's Blackburn's story? I can't keep our pitching prospects straight.

Any Cubs pitching prospect currently pitching in full season ball should elicit an 'lol okay' if traded. Even among that malaise, Blackburn stands out for his complete and total lack of noteworthiness. He is the beige khakis of pitching prospects.

This is the high-end of what I expected to eventually get for Vogelbach. It's also nice that I can root for him to have a nice career, because even if Seattle ends up "winning" the trade longterm, there wasn't anything else we could do with him.

I hope whatever the Yankees do they trade for A and AA ball pitchers who's arms blow out in a year

I hope they win enough to be dumb enough not sell only to be left with nothing.

My immediate memory was that Montgomery has arm injuries in his past(like TJS or near that level of severity), but I can't seem to find anything like that and he doesn't have any big playing time gaps. Anyone else know/remember anything about his health?

Doesn't Vogelbach have a pretty hot sister? Hopefully Montgomery has a cute wife or something to help even the trade out.

Zach Lee or Adrian Sampson would make some sense. Lee in giving another shot to a failed prospect, and Sampson as a potentially undervalued guy(he's very close to the thresholds from my Hendricks comps article).

I want Lee between them, but both are some solid names

James Paxton is also currently at AAA. I'd like him.

He'll love Seattle. Washington's a damn good state if he makes it so far.

Agreed, but he's from Florida.

Seattle a much better climate for a fat guy.

I suspect the price tag is high. With the new velocity the potential is huge.
