I'm good with Fowler over Heyward. Heyward's bound to be more expensive, his isod is worse, and Heyward doesnt play cf now. Heyward is a better defensive player, but it's wash offensively, plus fowler is like one of the most effective leadoff men in baseball.

Heyward is 4 years younger though, which is really where the price changes.

I'm not stupendously into Heyward though, I get it if they go after him, and I get it if they think the price is too high.

Fangraphs really likes the Cubs chances to make the playoffs.

It says the Giants have just a 1.9% chance to take a WC spot.

Those numbers look low for us, and I'm not sure where you're seeing the Giants at 1.9% for WC. They're 1.8% for WS.

ETA: It's giving us a rest of season winning percentage below .500. I'm assuming they messed something up.

Are those unadjusted projections from preseason? I'm really confused.

Yeah, I'd be disappointed if we only got 90 wins.

It must have updated in the time between when I posted it and you looked.

Here's yesterday's projections, which is pretty close to what I was looking at. I have no freaking clue why it thinks our ROS winning percentage should drop 50 points overnight. Soler hasn't done that much.

How is it that Montero tweets in "perfect" broken English? You could try to emulate that "voice" and never come close to succeeding.

He likely learned English by speaking it with others and not from a book like we would, so I imagine he probably types like he talks.

Also, it's freaking awesome and he's great. Other than Lester just a little bit, there's really not one guy on the entire team who's unlikable.

People are off on Lester, I love that guy.
