Why is Tracy McGrady getting about the same amount of burn as Ben Gordon? Better yet, why doesn't Gordon shoot anymore? He's only taken 39 three point attempts all season, compared to 151 total shot attempts. He's shooting 52% from the field and 46% from 3. I hope it was worth signing him to that long deal when he's the 3rd guard on a team that's pretty bad.

Because McGrady is the only guy on this team who actually looks to pass and tries to create for others. He's been getting better and physically closer to what he used to be.

To the second part, it's an isolation heavy offense and no one drives and kicks to him for open looks for 3. He's driving more and using mid-range game quite a bit. He was always going to be the 3rd guard as long as Rip is still around.

LeBron bumped Spoelstra on his way to the bench last night just like he did to Mike Brown. There is no way Spoelstra survives this unless the Heat have an incredible December. I knew Spoelstra was out of his league when Bosh said in an interview that the team wants to practice so hard and Spoelstra wants them to practice so hard and they decided to meet in the middle. Barkley totally ripped Bosh saying that Bosh has never won and has no idea how hard you have to work to win in practice. LeBron and Bosh just don't respect Spoelstra. Riley isn't far behind.

I don't know anything about Indiana so this might be a dumb question but are they a legit threat to contend for the division. They've won some tough games including a win tonight in LA.

Yeah I think so. People forget they were a halfway decent playoff contender last year. It's certainly impressive that in their last 4 games they lost to Orlando by 4, won in Miami, beat up on Cleveland, lost to Oklahoma City in OT, and then won in LA.

I think the Bulls are a better team, and are still 1.5 games better than the Pacers despite the Bulls having the hardest strength of schedule in the NBA so far. But this Pacers team seems to believe in themselves, and have a decent starting lineup with Collison being a decent PG (bit of a disapointment so far though IMO), Granger who is an All-Star, Hibbert who is quietly becoming one of the best centers in the East right now (24 pts 12 boards, 6 assists tonight), Dunleavy as a legit 6th man, Ford as a quality backup PG, etc.

I think they are pretty much a playoff team and probably the biggest challenger for the Bulls in the Central division unless Milwaukee makes the typical Skiles 2nd half surge.

"I think it's slow right now. For seven years, we're used to having the ball. We talked a lot recently," said LeBron on meshing games with Wade.

And then that quote, the one that followed the question about whether LeBron James and Dwyane Wade need to change their games.

“No, I can’t change my game dramatically and I don't think he can either,” LeBron said. “It doesn’t make any sense to do that. I’m not going to.” He paused adding: “I’d just be a role player at that point.”

This is excellent.

Lebron was always looked at in such a positive light, always said the right things, did the right things, etc. Then came The Decision and he hasn't said or done anything right since then. I think that quite a bit of what Dan Gilbert said at the time of his departure must have had some merit to it. No one seems to be protecting him at this point and it's been "foot squarely into mouth" ever since he left there. His rep has changed more than any player in any sport I can remember, in such a short period of time, without doing anything criminal anyway.

I think Favre and LBJ are the same guy.

I thought about him, but I think his was a more gradual turn of "Im getting tired of this guy" than an immediate turn of "you're a complete jackass" which I think Lebron did. I think one of the original analogies I remember with Lebron was it was like Hulk Hogan joining the NWO and I kind of agreed with that.

Lebron's may have been quicker, but Favre's has been more pronounced. I believe there are still an awful lot of Lebron worshippers out there right now. Nobody likes Favre, not even fans of the team he is on.

False. The majority of Vikings fans are still fans. He's been popular in the locker room the entire time in Minnesota. Not sure about all of the coaches but Bevell sure does.

this is getting really good.

can riley save them? if there's really a conflict brewing between wade and lebron already and riley can't somehow make it work, this is going to be soooooo awesome.

Wizards playing w/little energy or urgency. You can tell they thought this was going to be easy. Took the Heat for granted.

A Tweep just reminded me this is a "trap" game for Wizards. They have Toronto on Wednesday. Wizards looking ahead.

haha. What a punk LeBron is. I mean, how can you coach a guy who probably hasn't taken crap from any coach he has ever had since he was 13. I'm glad the Bulls don't have to deal with a guy like that. Talented, yes. But is he even worth it?

Funny article by Kelly Dwyer on Yahoo. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Relationship-between-LeBron-and-coach-gets-chill;_ylt=AgIimWcsf8Q4sSzuJz9TwSW8vLYF?urn=nba-290079

You could be sure that it wouldn't take long for Maverick Carter unnamed sources to lash back in LeBron James'(notes) defense, especially in the wake of the team's disappointing start, and the goofball BumpGate controversy.

In speaking with ESPN's Chris Broussard, Carter the source had this to say about Heat coach Erik Spoelstra's relationship with the team:

"He's jumping on them," one source said. "If anything, he's been too tough on them. Everybody knows LeBron is playful and likes to joke around, but Spoelstra told him in front of the whole team that he has to get more serious. The players couldn't believe it. They feel like Spoelstra's not letting them be themselves."

Carter The source went on to point out that Spoelstra singled James out during a recent shootaround, telling the Heat star that he couldn't "tell when you're serious."

The bar refunding drinks for Heat losses up to 30k.

Less than 10k in alcohol costs but still fun to see that number go up.

I know there's a couple other Pacers fans on here. Josh McRobert's dunk last night was incredible - didn't think he was getting to that ball. Made #1 on ESPN's Top Plays.

Best white guy dunker in the NBA. I heard there's gonna be a push to get him into the dunk contest this year.

Yes sir, go Pacers! And um, go Josh McBob (throws up in mouth). \:D/

Anyone think that a fan or group of fans could get violent in Cleveland tomorrow night when LeBron comes back? Security will be strengthened at Quicken Loans Arena, but I hope they have metal detectors at the stadium. I hope no one runs out on the court.

someone running on the court would be the only thing that would make that game remotely interesting
