Average age of guys getting more than 20 MPG = 29.125, a full 3 years younger than the Bulls of 97-98 and younger than titles 4-6 for the Bulls. My point is the Spurs are at least 5 years past their prime and they are in the finals. Their 3 best players are old and in decline. And they are in the finals despite not having been a championship caliber team in recent years, when they were a younger team. So this supports my contention that this is a weak year in the NBA. The Bulls are a terrible comparison. Because through the 97-98 season, they won every championship for the 6 years when Michael Jordan was on the team for the whole year. So even if the 97-98 Bulls were in decline, and they clearly were, the prior teams won championships too. And their best player was Michael Jordan. Please stop hating on MJ like that by comparing him to Duncan, Parker and Ginobili. LeBron comparisons are bad enough.
