  1. I'll take "Invented Arguments" for $1000, Alex. Jeez. Can you possibly get more pretentious. So much mental masturbation on this site. We're arguing sports for goodness sakes. Get over yourself.
  2. That just shows how bad the NBA is these days. Whatever. If you're trying to claim that the Spurs are better now than they were 5 years ago when Duncan and Ginobili were in their prime because 31 year old tony Parker had a better statistical year than 26 year old Tony Parker I can't argue with you. OKC and the Bulls were down 2 all stars from where they entered the playoff last year. Even Indy was down an Allstar and they took Miami to 7. 2013 is a down year for the NBA. Lets face it.
  3. I agree. Wade is in decline and Bosh isn't a great fit. Unless he moves, I question this team winning multiple championships. And they have absolutely no flexibility with the cap.
  4. Average age of guys getting more than 20 MPG = 29.125, a full 3 years younger than the Bulls of 97-98 and younger than titles 4-6 for the Bulls. My point is the Spurs are at least 5 years past their prime and they are in the finals. Their 3 best players are old and in decline. And they are in the finals despite not having been a championship caliber team in recent years, when they were a younger team. So this supports my contention that this is a weak year in the NBA. The Bulls are a terrible comparison. Because through the 97-98 season, they won every championship for the 6 years when Michael Jordan was on the team for the whole year. So even if the 97-98 Bulls were in decline, and they clearly were, the prior teams won championships too. And their best player was Michael Jordan. Please stop hating on MJ like that by comparing him to Duncan, Parker and Ginobili. LeBron comparisons are bad enough.
  5. We are about to find out if Floyd Mayweather really bet $6 million on the Heat minus the points. Because he's definitely going to tweet the ticket if he did.
  6. If the Spurs somehow win the championship, it will just prove how pathetically weak the NBA is compared to how it used to be. They last won 5 years ago when all their geriatric stars were 5 years younger and better. So winning now would be a joke. I sure hope they win though. I won't be able to stand the inevitable Miami is one of the greatest teams ever crap and LeBron is the best player ever talk.
  7. The Heat are stepping it up on D. The Pacers can't get a decent shot off. Turnovers and transition points are the Heat's MO.
  8. Indy better watch out. I worry that Mayweather might win his alleged $6 million bet going away.
  9. LeBron almost hit his forehead on the rim. A 6'8" guy on a 10' rim. That's like a 40 inch vert without even trying that hard.
  10. Heat are playing some really great D. But their uncalled flop attempts have cost them at least 5-6 points.
  11. Nice. It's turned into an equipment thread. I also have Rocketbladez Tours. Very nice clubs. Way more forgiving than the R9 TP B's I was using before. But don't buy the distance hype. They don't hit it much longer than other clubs out there. All clubs have jacked lofts compared to clubs of 10 years ago. The standard Rocketbladez are ridiculous though. I hit them over a club longer than the tours. They are seriously jacked in lofts. But too clunky for me. I carry 4 wedges. PW, 52, 56, 60. I think its more useful than putting a club in between 3 wood and 3 hybrid.
  12. Oh, well yeah...that fits. Cowherd has been a huge Rose basher since he was a rookie. He used to be on locally here. I'm sure he toned down his act some since he started airing in Chicago but I see the Rose hate hasn't stopped.
  13. Ok. Asik was a mistake. But let's not go overboard. I think Thibs deserves a ton of credit for getting guys to play well and make other teams want them. This is similar to other teams wanting one of Peyton Mannings receivers. People actually thought CJ Watson was decent. I think Nate is huge for this team. But he has had years to be good and he just hasn't been.
  14. The better they play the worse DRose is looking.
  15. Why didn't Nate just dunk it?
