They would move to Seattle if the city promised them a new arena.

Of course, the local radio here wonders why Columbus is never mentioned in these talks. I mean, we have an NHL hockey team! And, and, and.....an MLS team!

Don't hate on the Crew. They're massive.

Seattle should be front and center if the NBA moves a team. That's a great sports town.

I all for them getting a team because they seem to be the best of the cities left (Vegas isn't getting one any time soon), but are they really a great sports town? I just thought they were kind of a meh sports town.

I'm not hating on the Crew. They've been really good.

The Seahawks run at 99.9% of capacity at Qwest and the Sounders average over 30k per home game. The Mariners only ran at 54% of capacity, but they were beyond terrible, and I think that city would be over the moon if the NBA moved a team back there. Even when they were terrible and everyone knew their scumbag owner was moving the team they still averaged about 15k their last season there.

Where did all this Hornets to Chicago talk come from?

And this is the first time I've ever heard of Chicago looking to ever add the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies thing was back when they were looking to move from Vancouver. Their owner Heisley is from Chicago and targeted his hometown as a potential relocation spot along with Nashville, Memphis and someone else I can't remember. The mayor of Dixmoor was in discussions to build an arena there for the team. I think it fell through because they couldn't find a place to play while the stadium was built. Allstate had scheduling conflicts and UIC pavilion needed a renovation to be acceptable for the NBA.

Here is an article on it:

The poll question during the Lakers game tonight was which former USC player is the best in the NBA.

First was DeMar DeRozan. Second, ahead of OJ Mayo (as well as Nick Young and one other player who I can't remember), was Brian Scalabrine.

Columbus already has a professional basketball team.

And a professional football team.

You're up four points with 31 seconds left and a full shot clock, what do you do in this situation?

Well, if you're the Lakers, you have Lamar Odom shoot a 3-pointer with 17 seconds left on the shot clock. Simply brilliant. Fortunately it's not going to matter.

I'm guessing Taj Gibson was the guy you couldn't remember.

That sounds right. I just thought it was hilarious that Scalabrine got voted No. 2.

The Clipper starting lineup tonight has a combined 9 years of experience (two third year players and three firsts).

Each player in the Laker starting lineup tonight has at least 10 years of experience.

and their question marks haven't changed

We'll talk in June when they're in the Finals against the Lakers.

excellent counter argument. future telling. definitely valid.

And the Lakers are losing by 9 late in the 3rd quarter.

Howard just had one of the best offensive quarters I've ever seen from him. 18 points, and two blocks as well. Currently on pace for 72 points and eight blocks.

Magic have now lost four in a row. Not sure when I can stop blaming the ridiculous flu epidemic our team just went through, but either way there's no excuse for this team to ever lose four in a row. Looks like we're going to need to add a piece via trade if we want any chance of getting by Boston in the playoffs. Quentin Richardson should not be a starter on any team in the NBA, let alone on one of the best teams in the East.
