I enjoyed that they played the Imperial March while introducing the Heat.

The whole thing would've been much more entertaining if Cleveland had a halfway decent team to at least put up some semblance of a fight on the court.

I think it was fitting, showing the world just how much Cleveland needed LeBron. They went from #1 seed in the east, to pure garbage because of one player.

It reminded me of Jordan's first game in Chicago as a Wizard. All that hype for the game, and the Bulls looked beyond awful. I think they scored under 70 points for the game.

Wasn't that on the same day as the Bears/Philly playoff game? I remember the play where Jordan blocked/trapped a shot against the backboard. The Bulls played terribly.

I thought it was an NBA on NBC Saturday afternoon game

You're getting the two Jordan games confused. We played the Wizards in DC a few weeks earlier and that was the game where he blocked Jalen Rose's layup at the end of the game.

Jordan's first game at the UC was on that Saturday afternoon where the Bears played the Eagles in the divisional round.

I don't know. I thought Jordan blocked a layup on the right side of the basket early in the home game that kind of set the tempo for the rest of the game.

He did, he pinned Mercer's shot to the backboard with two hands.

I like this idea of the Hornets maybe moving to Chicago.

why? no one would go. they'd be the Clippers x10

Seriously, that makes zero sense. They would be better off moving to El Paso.

You're not giving Chicago fans any credit. People support the [expletive] Chicago Wolves. They'd support a second NBA team.

They support the Wolves because they built a reputation of succeeding while offering a dirt cheap product. Chicago is a football first, baseball second and basketball only because of Jordan city. They aren't going to pay NBA prices to see a non-Bulls team.

If CP3 was still on the Hornets, I'm sure you could get people to go.

I don't understand why Seattle isn't getting any consideration. Typical Stern, I guess.

Ballmer will move the Hornets to Seattle

Kings to Las Vegas

Exactly, its a different product that doesn't compete directly with the Blackhawks. The entire city would hate whatever 2nd NBA team came in against the Bulls. Hell DFW has two minor league hockey teams that both do well enough. Its cheap fun entertainment for more than half the cost and much less traffic than the real thing.

The Grizzlies almost moved to Chicago before they moved to Memphis, so its not like they are the only people that think a second NBA team in Chicago is viable.

I would hate this move though. We already have enough division every summer between the Cubs an Sox. Winter is a time to band together as a city and shiver our asses off.

They would move to Seattle if the city promised them a new arena.

Of course, the local radio here wonders why Columbus is never mentioned in these talks. I mean, we have an NHL hockey team! And, and, and.....an MLS team!

Columbus already has a professional basketball team.
