why does everyone get so excited for a squeeze?

Because it tells us that Dusty has at least some brain activity.

the squeeze is little more than a show off move for the manager. it's unnecessarily risky.

Double play! Where was this Maddux last year?

Hi all just joining you! There were some articles about Maddux wanting to get off to a better start and acknowledging his slow starts, and upping his workout regimin. Looks like he's proving he meant it by pitching this way.

That was a great relay throw by Ronnie! He has a cannon for an arm.

Which allows him to get away with double-clutching every time he throws, apparently.

Not with a great bunter like Pierre hitting. It's not very risky at all. .

Does anyone else think it would have been smarter to put Marshall against Carpenter and Z against Ponson to insure we get at least one win in those two games?

St. Louis has looked real sloppy so far today. I hope they play like this the whole season.

Didn't even see that I was beat to it. By a mile.

He's only double clutched twice...

Although with Pierre, you're probably not going to get a great shot of a sac fly.

Nice single for Rammy.

Eh I don't know if we can beat carp with Z we could sweep. Although this one is far from over.

You have one of the game's best bunters with great speed at bat and someone with great speed on 3rd. Letting Pierre swing away was just as much of a risk.

you do realize that he ended up getting a hit, right? wouldn't you take that over a run scoring sac bunt or a rally killing caught stealing?

At what point do you think about getting Ramirez and his cranky body out of the cold and into the clubhouse?

Nope. You have to try for a win every single day. We should be past the days of trying to get "atleast one win". . Common, root for 2 wins!! Have some faith!
