Just started watching the game, but why didn't Dusty go out and check on Maddux after that awkward release?

Where did I say it is not a risk? I said it's not very risky. I didn't say it's not risky. With the Combo we had. Speedy Cedeno at 3rd, and Pierre at bat. That's exactly when I want to see a squeeze. Why are we even argueing about this, he got the hit anyway?

how can any play that involves having a guy blindly sprint toward home plate while the pitched ball is heading to the guy standing right on top of home plate be 'not very risky'? a missed bunt, an unbuntable ball out of the strike zone, or a popped up bunt is a disaster.

When the batter at the plate is just as likely to put the ball in play with bunt as with a swing. Check that, MORE likely to put the ball in play with a bunt. I generally don't like the squeeze, but with Pierre, the odds are even at worst.

but the runner isn't out if the batter swings and misses.

I have been in and out all game, have either radio or TV announcers referred to them as the "Bud Light" Bleachers at all (like on Lee's dinger?)

*Swordsman crosses his fingers, shuts his eyes and rocks back and forth chanting "Please say no! Please say no! Please say no!"*

Nice play by Ronny.

Details plz? :)

He ranged well out into leftfield to cradle a pop up.

Thanks.

looked like almost overran it after the wind knocked it down.

Only at the beginning of the game as I recall.

Que paso?

Without having any knowledge of what happened, I'd bet it was no big deal and Maddux would have known if there was a problem or not.

Barrett went out, if there had been an issue, then he would have.

Ron Santo, you suck as an announcer.

"Encarnacion is a good ballplayer."

No he is not Ron. He is terrible. Why is it that so many baseball people insist on being overly complementary to everybody. There is no such thing as a below average pitching coach, a bad manager, an undeserving regular. Everybody is at least good.

He's comparing him to every person that has ever played baseball at any level.

I'm glad we're getting our punching bags out of the way today. Have fun with Looper.

That's an ironic sentiment - which one did Tavarez punc a few weeks ago?

Barrett went out to the mound after that happened.

And had to adjust to the wind while backpeddling.

Well, he is better than me, I think.
