I really like this "I took that personal" version of Caleb. Feeling great about tomorrow night. Need to turn Maye over a few times.

Blitz, constantly blitzing Maye will generate some turnovers.

Sanborn is still on the roster? Who knew?

Probably only because Edwards is out again this week. Sewell came back last week, which might have been his demise at that point if Edwards was healthy. Not sure who is higher on the depth chart between Sanborn and Keyshawn Elliott.

I need score predictions
I'm always scared to pick the Bears in our family pick 'em league....too much trauma over the years, ha

Man, when we selected Monangai in the 7th round I was like, great Poles, you got schooled and this guy is just a practice squad scrub. Couldn't have been more wrong. Now he's so valuable we're upset he can't go. Proof that in the draft there's talent to be had right up until the end.

Bears fans are so horny for a glimmer of football competence. It's sad but on the other hand, what incredible loyalty to such a horsefeathers product for so long

So, this is kind of where I stand right now. They beat NE and SEA the hype will be crazy and they'll be up there with SF, BUF and KC as the best teams in the league.. They win 1 of the 2, the hype remains where it's at. They lose both that makes going to the playoffs an uphill battle.

I'm terrified of Maye's deep ball tendencies against this porous secondary. I'm also extremely worried that we're going to get another game where Swift gets 10-15 touches and Johnson gets 10-15 touches. Having no Monangai along with an obviously hurt Swift is such a huge blow to this run first offense. The Bears are the supposed favorite, but I just don't see it that way.

They’ve been the NFL’s most fun team to watch for the last year and a half.

For starters, any game in the NFL could go either way. But that said, the Bears deserve to be favorites. Playing at home for starters. I think you are focusing on only the Bears flaws and not NE. NE just beat a jets team where time of possession was equal. Jets played them pretty much straight up. Bears dominated the Jets. Had the ball for 43 minutes. This was without Caleb. Bears are the better team. Plus, add the injuries to the starting offensive line of NE. Also Caleb has a game under his belt. Doesn’t mean the Bears win the game. They can lose. But they earned being the favorite.

Year maybe.  Not year and a half. They had bad losses early and an ugly escape over raiders and commanders. Wasn’t until second half of season that they became entertaining.

They're two roughly approximately evenly matched teams and the Bears are playing at home. It's not ludicrous that they're favored. That just makes sense.
