You know it’s over when 48 year old Steven Matz is getting wheeled out, only for the Brewers to throw out Ashby/Uribe/Megill for the final 9 outs.

Only question now is, who will Hoyer actually talk to and negotiate with in 5 days, and will they sign anyone before December 1st

Hoyer is a moron if he waits until after the lockout. It probably won't be over until late Feb.

Also, if IIRC, before the last lockout pretty much all the big names signed before it went into effect.

I honestly wish Hoyer had shown himself the door years ago. He’s not going to compete with these guys. He’s not on this level. Not even close.

Knicks and the Brewers in the same calendar year. Yeah, it's been a very annoying year for sports.

I know I might be in the minority, I would not be upset if the potential lockout goes well into next season.

Don’t worry, he’ll express interest in Skubal, lowball an offer, throw his hand up and say “I tried” while turning around to over spend on prospects for some washed up rental next july

From a baseball fan POV, it's kind of cool to see a franchise win their first championship, even if it is the Brewers.

From a Cub fan POV, I chuckle at the fact that during the greatest moment of their franchise history, some Brewers fans still have the Cubs on their mind. I do not know about you but when the Cubs won in 2016, the Brewers (and Cardinals) were nowhere near my conscious thought. Yeah it took 2X times as long to win a champiogship than it did the Brewers but I would like to remind the Brewers that it still took the Cubs less time to win their first title than it did the Brewers. Celebrate the accomplishment Brewers fans. I just hope the Brewers good fortune means more bad fortune for the Packers.

I know a ton of brewers fans and none have made mention of the Cubs or their fans. They’re just enjoying the ride!
