Saw a list yesterday of all the series loss at home against a bunch of under 500 teams.

Isn’t that Cubs and Padres in Chicago? Is that really best case? I wonder if SD pitches King on Sunday if they need the game for home field? I would guess they wouldn’t.

The biggest problem is that the wind blowing in neutralizes the Cubs power advantage.

I think this series with Miami demonstrated that pitcher friendly weather hurts the Cubs more than the visitors. Theres is no amount of wind that can make this pitching staff not give up massive bombs. Stowers took Gausman dead center in the wind.

Cubs need to keep the pressure on SD. I really hope they don’t play Saturday and then play Sunday in Tampa. Also be either tied or only one game back if San Diego for that game. It would be interesting to see if SD uses King. The goal is for the Cubs to make SD need the game. If they play Saturday SD might know if they need the game or not. I would rather both teams play at the same time the last game and SD not be sure. If the Cubs season does end Saturday, I hope they are within a 1/2 game of SD. Again, then SD has to decide, pitch their best or save him for game 1 and take their chances on home field.

I think in this scenario AZ comes to Chicago,  SD goes to ATL and the Phillies go home.  I could be wrong 

Edit.  I am wrong AZ can't tie SD. Thus won't come to chicago

Lol, kinda sad with 3 games to go we're trying to figure out if Cubs are better off at home or away, and if its better to play SD, Atlanta, or Philly 😅

In a way, i dont think they really have a full advantage in any outcome here, it's going to ve a tough series for them no matter who they face and where.

Edit: and I say kinda sad, cause normally you have full confidence in your playoff team to be able to win games in the postseason.

They can't play in Chicago, I am sure SD and Philly would not be too happy about it. They should have just moved the whole damn series to Tampa. Or do a traditional DH with ONE gate back to back starting now. MLB needs to make it a split DH though because of $$$$$$
