Is there another team in baseball that could have absorbed the equivalent of the Cubs' injuries and still make the PS?

The Dodgers were mentioned that's fair, the Yankees? No.  They suffered some injuries but, didn't have every effective reliever go down.

Historically terrible isn't correct, sure they haven't won many WS, they've still been to WS 17 times, all time winning record.  What 4th most HOF'ers?  I wouldn't say the Cubs are historically terrible, the Browns, the Senators yeah, not the Cubs.

For sure I think Ari will have to try tomorrow. They’re 3 back of Philly and they have the tiebreaker. So they’ll either be 2 or 3 back of Philly anfter today. Ideally both Philly and SD lose tonight so Ari is chasing both.

Yeah in 108 years they couldn't even fluke themselves into a WS title. The White Sox even did.

In part they just didn't have competitive teams for eons. Thanks to the cheap Wrigley family and the Tribune debacle. They make PTR look like Daddy Warbucks
