I'm mostly fascinated in how the time traveller arrived here from 1988, and if they've had a chance to be introduced to all the new wonderful things we've developed as a society since then. Baseball in particular, people have discovered that pitcher wins are basically a useless statistic, and game winning RBI is so worthless in terms of actually determining value, even the most hardened idiot stopped using it.

Goes to show how bad the pitching has been most of year, especially the bullpen. 

Unless youre the Rockies. normally if you have an offense scoring that many runs, you should be easily winning 90+ games

I knew that, meant if does return before the playoffs.  Can't remember if Dawson wore something after returning.

Yea im sure he will be wearing some kind of protective gear, but not sure what they would have to protect around the eye and not obstruct his vision, but if they have something,  he likely might even be wearing it for at least the WC round if it's more than just a swollen black eye.

Unless I missed it, dit they officially say what type of injury it is, did they do xrays yet or too swollen yet

I haven’t see a prognosis yet. I would be surprised if he took an AB before Saturday. And I wouldn’t be surprised if he is done for the year, including the playoffs. You can’t hit what you can’t see. And that eye looks bad.

Yeah he's gotta be done for the year. Even if we were scraping and clawing for a spot, it would be really silly to have him travel to Boston

I do feel confident he'd be back for the start of the playoffs though

This season has been absolutely maddening. The injuries never stopped. Every time we got a guy back, another would hit the IL.
