I know it was a lefty pitcher, but why the horsefeathers did they pitch to PCA there?  I thought it was a foregone conclusion he was getting intentionally walked.

Yeah like I'm sure their bullpen was not flush with options at this point of the game but IBB'ing PCA to lead off the inning and then having a righty pitch to Suzuki/Busch/Miller felt like the obvious play?

Bringing in Smith felt like just ignoring that PCA and Busch aren't heavy split guys.
