L.

I can not even pretend to talk myself into a Cubs win, even against the Rockies.

yeah, they had a great matchup last night and still got dunked on. zero reason to think this team is capable of winning right now

Lorenzen this year at Coors:

9.67 ERA / 5.62 FIP - 408/457/616 slash allowed.  For the year, LHB have a .526 wOBA.

My money is on the Rockies

I'm guessing we will be on no-hit watch tonight.

Watching to see how many dongs Shota is going to give up could be quite entertaining.

Shota has given up 10 HR in his last 3 starts.  This could be a special night

I threw $5 at PCA and Goodman hitting homers.  Maybe I can profit off the bad.

This has to be the most disappointing season I can remember since the sell off. Came with so much hope, were 27-12 and everyone thought this was going to be a great year. And now, honestly, if I was a betting man I would bet against a playoff appearance. Awful season. They did get hit hard with injuries to the staff, but there is no excuse for the hitting. Just a bad season overall. They can turn it around, but right now I don’t even care. Even when I am home I find myself watching other things instead of the Cubs. That almost never happened in the past. Even bad seasons I watched them.

Yeah I mean they've scored more than 3 runs like 4 times in 20 games. They are positively boring right now on offense. Not at all fun to watch.

Even in the bad seasons they usually had 1 or 2 guys that were hitting or pitching really well and made it worth to watch them play.

Might be the most disappointing season since 2004. But at least the collapse happened early and I can enjoy my summer and just check the box scores this year.

On this team that would be PCA and Brown.

Yeh, but even PCA has had alot of down games and not a fun watch.

Bad teams in past,  at least they had guys like Sandberg, Dawson, Sosa, etc putting up big numbers all season.

So the Cubs are the most disappointing team in baseball relative to their expectations, while on the South Side the vibes have never been higher in recent memory.  The Brewers will win the division by 10+ games again.  The Cardinals are good again.

Genuinely don't know what it will take for the Cubs to clean house and fire Hoyer/Counsell, but it's come to the point where everything has to be on the table.  Counsell has been so bad lately that I find myself missing Rossy.

Ricketts should flex his pockets and buy out the entire Brewers front office. Pay them double what they make now. He won't have to spend on players anymore and they'll be better than they are now. Win win for everyone.
