When is the last time the Cubs went winless in 10 consecutive series? Thats just wild

2022, they set their record losing 10 consecutive series

Now and then I think about just being a minor league prospect fan. It's so much more enjoyable than the horsefeathers show that marches itself onto the field masquerading as a major league team.

Sorry I missed this.  I was busy watching pro sports being played in Madison Square Garden.

Has a GM literally ever had as disastrous an offseason as Jed?

1. Bregman- 94 wRC+ in year 1 of a 5/175 deal

2. Shota-  4,44 ERA and on pace to give up about 40 HR

3. Tyler Austin- Likely never takes a PA as a Cub as his knee isn't recovering

4. Hunter Harvey- 4 innings of 6.75 ERA and there's a very real chance he doesn't pitch again for the Cubs  since his shoulder isn't improving

5. Holy Milner- The 4.03 ERA doesn't seem so bad, until you see the 4.66 k/9 and 5.34 xERA

6. Phil Maton- 7.08 ERA

7) Edward Cabrera- 4.99 ERA with peripherals to match, when he can actually step on the field

That is an unmitigated disaster of an offseason

The worst part is that the Cubs are locked into this mediocrity for a while.  Bregman, Swanson, Hoerner, Cabrera, all here for years to come.  Turns out Ricketts was right in previous years not to let Jed spend money.

These are how many runs the Rockies have given up in previous 3 game series at Coors:

Some mental math here, at Coors The Rockies were allowing an average of 7.8 runs/game going into to Tuesday and against the Cubs they’re allowing an average of 6.5 hits/game. I’m so proud of them. What a team.

I’m sick and tired of seeing these same faces every year going through their typical 2 month losing benders of horsefeathers hitting and scoring 3 runs max 4+ times/week.

Need 3 runs score 2, need 2 runs score 1, need 6 runs score 1, need 2 runs score 15 in an August game where you’re 5 back of a playoff seed. Although lately they don’t even have the sexy run differential during a stretch of games that’s a gift to a team that’s in disarray.

They can get out Cabreras contract easily. The infield, not so much.

I truly do not understand how a team can tank this hard and no one does anything.  Does not one person associated withe the Cubs give even the slightest of fucks?

I don’t k ow what they can do besides fire coaches and that’s probably up to Craig.

I think Nico got completely jacked up by that HBP to the head and he still hasn't recovered

Unfortunately cubs fans always show out lmao, they were competitive last year and interest exploded. The homers are too easy to please, Hoyer and Ricketts know the formula to keep butts in the seats.
