Well - goodnight. Last night was fun, so soak those games up because most of the games ahead would most likely look like this horsefeathers

Yeah.  I just thought maybe we get a few innings of competitive baseball.

Suks having a good broadcast crew and either have to continue watching this crap or turn it off

I enjoy Jason’s play by play. But he can come across like a bit of a smart arse at times. Not his intention I am sure.

Game's over, we know this, what really has me pissed off is Bregman.  He must be amongst the worst in all of baseball with RISP, doesn't matter, 0, 1 or 2 outs.  Soft or no contact time and again, move him down in the order, give him some time off, something has to be done.

216 with RISP. 216 is his slugging percentage by the way.

think we’d be able to lock down hoyer with another extension, or is he gonna use this “build a $230 mil team that can stay within shouting distance of a rebuilding cardinal team with half the payroll” as a springboard to a better job?

Out of curiosity, do you, as a Cubs fan, dislike the Cardinals or Brewers more? I assume most of you dislike the Cardinals the most, but I'm curious.

TUE WED THU FRI SAT TOT
Trent Thornton 0 0 22 0 0 22
Ryan Rolison 32 0 0 0 0 32
Phil Maton 0 22 0 15 0 37
Jacob Webb 0 17 0 0 19 36
Hoby Milner 20 0 21 2 0 43
Ethan Roberts 0 15 0 22 0 37
Daniel Palencia 14 0 0 0 13 27
Caleb Thielbar 0 17 27 0 0 44

It is about 18x more important to me to beat the Brewers than the Cards right now and will be for some time.

But I doubt I'll ever hate the Brewers or anything as much as I hated those mid-00s Cardinals teams

What pisses me off is Seiya is even worse with RISP.

“What are your memories of the Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa home run chase?”.

”Well, they both bought the sport into disrepute by cheating. No footage of it should ever be shown on a Baseball broadcast ever again. It was a stain on Baseball.”

Said no Baseball person - who has been asked that question - ever…

Barring an epic come back, Sox will have a better record than the Cubs going into June.  Not been a fun season so far.

The Cubs will finish the season with a better record, but the Sox are more fun to watch and may have a brighter future.

Don’t mind me. I am fairly miserable whenever we are losing.

For me Cardinals hatred is baseball DNA.  It was bred into me by Dad and his Dad before him.    The Brewers didn’t even exist.  I don’t think anything they do can reach the level of Cubs/Cards mortal enemy status.

I didn't want to sign Bregman. I think he's washed and it's not gonna get much better from here.

This is one of the least enjoyable Cubs teams to watch in a long time. I'm not usually a doom and gloom guy but this team is a mess and locked into long term contracts. I don't see how they fix this.
