I don’t care if he has a 5% chance of scoring, if Dansby is up next you send the runner because he isn’t going to get it done. Complete dead weight at the plate right now.

really have to start ph-ing for swanson in those spots. if that was Shaw’s spot in the order, he’d be ph for without hesitation.

I wonder how much longer before they start pinch hitting for him and moving Nico to SS

Dansby sucks. The middle of the order sucks more. They can’t knock in a guy with an RBI hit with any consistency and it shouldn’t fall on the shoulders of our 9 hole hitter to score runs and pick up them up.

His chance of scoring was less than 5%. he was not being sent. But maybe they should have pinch hit for Dansby.

Yeah, Ramirez would've been better there tonight.

Anyone know the story of the 80 shirtless dudes in the OF seats?  That a frat house with season tickets or something?

Yeah Google the “tarps off” trend. It’s happening at several ballparks right now but I think STL was the one that made it a trend

They are douchebags. That’s the story.

Seems like everyone else is walking a ton then Dansby comes up with RISP and flails.

His whole hitting approach is bad.  Trying to pull fastballs so he pulls off badly on any other pitch type.

I hate watching all this elite defense get wasted in these lifeless losses. Feels like it’s somehow gotten even better during this current 5-16 stretch

This team is just a slightly above average. Jed won’t pay for stars and Tom won’t go deep into luxury tax range. Without a great developmental program, the Cubs won’t be great and this team is not great.

The hell of it is this team needs more starting pitching to be a playoff factor even if they manage to get their way there and Jed has shown no appetite (not saying he's wrong in the long term, but he's shown no appetite) for going after game changing talent in season. So it just doesn't feel like this team has much of a chance to do anything unless all the bats get hot at once at a convenient time.

Funny theyve been going shirtless at WF bleachers for years

We need Boyd and Cabrera ASAP

And Steele though obviously we have absolutely no idea what we’ll get from him after like 15 months away
