It's always a fun part of a losing streak when the team that hasn't scored worth horsefeathers in a week finally gets some offense on the day they give up 8 runs

I can’t wait for the day Jed Hoyer is in the booth with JD and Boog, and waffles on about the latest bobblehead giveaway and how fun Gallagher Way is.

You know, the stuff we are all waiting to hear as disgruntled baseball fans.

Counsell' going to put Swanson and Happ back in the lineup tomorrow isn't he?  After, without them, they scored more runs in a game than the previous 5?  I'd like Swanson, Happ and Suzuki to sit for a while, don't know exactly how long but, for more than a game.

Happ will definitely play tomorrow, Counsell probably hoping him being home in Pittsburgh and a place he hits well ignites him, at least for the series.

Maybe itll be Suzuki turn to sit with 4 RHers starting.

I'd be surprise if Swanson misses more than 1 or 2 of these next 4 games

I think I might ignore this team for a month just to see where things stand in July.

I did the same last year when they went into their 2+ month slump, might be for the best to ignore them for a while.  Maybe even for the remainder of the season.

No way am i not watching, fully in the horrified fascination phase. Cabrera being bad/getting injured removes any semblance of a stopper. We could be facing a historic stretch of futility.

Is is possible that Hoerner is playing through concussion symptoms, similar to when Rizzo with the Yankees? I mean, he's stats have been not good since that game he got hit in the head by the Padres.

That's my guess, too, and his neck tightness might be related to the hit by a pitch.

I haven't tuned in much in the past two weeks. It's too painful. I love winning baseball. I hate losing baseball.

I did this with the Bulls too. I’ve taken a decade off and counting.

What really sticks out is how the cubs have been out homered on the year 73:60. Taillon, Imanaga and Rea have been the biggest culprits. People harp on the lack of hitting with RISP, it wouldn’t matter if they could clear the bases every now and then. Only 18 in 22 games this month. Albeit they’re 10th in in xWOBA and 24th in wRC+ so it’s either a matter of bad luck or a combination of that and too much hard contact straight into the shift, by design.

I may never watch them again. I got to enjoy six rings

I was too young to enjoy the dynasty. My great Bulls memories start and end with Derrick rose, which was soured by Carlos boozer being their prized free agent in the greatest free agent class of all time, because of a horsefeathers owner who refused to go over the LT.
