We're pushing 2 months in and he hasn't remotely been a difference maker offensively. I'm not panicking but I am very much concerned

He’s a very expensive hitting coach

Bregman has been disappointing for sure , but he normally puts great numbers from June on . Hopefully that continues

Is it time to talk about firing the hitting coach?

Not directly as a result of 7 run offense game.

But what the frackity frack happened to this team with RISP?

Team takes a lot of meatball pitches

Guys always seem to be in 2-strike counts

Nobody can hit offspeed pitches

Busch, PCA, etc. are regressing

Someone has to pay

Seems like an old, bad movie to me.  Team spends on a FA bat.  Said bat doesn’t produce immediate results.  Fans frustrated.

Are you talking about Bo Bichette?😅

Our pitching succcccks. Sox fans are going to be insufferable for awhile

still 22-9 in our last 31 🤷‍♂️

There'll need something to hang their hats on when they stop hitting homeruns and struggle to score runs. Plus the Cubs will return the favor to the Sox in August.

Let them enjoy this.

just lose 7-4 next time

I actually feel better losing this way. Was cool to see them fight back and take the lead again. Oh well

the loss sucks but it's really not that bad. cubs were down late and tied. they left 13 runners on base...that'll do it every time. gotta figure out the bullpen, though.

on to the next one!

This may possibly be a reason for today’s loss

IMG_7755.jpeg

It usually the reason for alot of their losses, id bet in majority of their losses of 3 runs or less they probably left at least 8 guys on base or quite a few in scoring position with less than 2 outs.

I know it sounds silly to complain about a team offense after scoring 7 runs, it just that with this pitching staff, you need these guys to capitalize as much as possible when they have the opportunity, because like today, 5+ runs just might not be enough all too often.

They will need a huge deadline . Need help both in rotation and pen .  Cabrera needs to get his horsefeathers together . Really underwhelming

edit : I wouldn’t be expecting too much out of Steele btw .

Unfortunately, think you're correct about Steele, I think it best to write him off for 2026.  Maybe, if all goes well, he'll be available sometime in 2027.
