I’m hoping the Cubs win but if they don’t I don’t understand how anyone would root for the Dodgers to win. Let’s be honest the Brewers have been an honorable opponent to thee Cub. I have sympathy for them knowing how I suffered as a Cub fan when everyone assumed we would choke.

It was 29-4, not that it makes it that much less absurd. They went from 49-40 to 78-44.

As I said somewhere else, if Milwaukee had merely played like one of the best teams of all time for that massive chunk of the season where their record was that of a 125 win team or whatever the hell it was, rather than the unstoppable Voltron engine of death they masqueraded as, the Cubs would've won the division.

Now, as it turned out the Cubs would've played in the wild card series anyway and would've been stuck with LA in round 2, so whatever, I guess, but still.

October 11th, 2016 the Cubs gave me the best birthday ever when they came back against the giants after being down 5-2 in the 9th inning to clinch the nlds. Hopefully it’s another good birthday tomorrow with less drama.

Yea, I’m not rooting for the Dodgers unless they’re playing the Cardinals, in which case go big blue.

Crazy game 5 in Seattle, but why does the PBP guys have to scream at the end of every inning..lol

Eh. Because it’s the fourth win or go home inning between two teams that have played 1500 innings this year. If not now, when.

Cubs win today or baseball season is over for me. Won't watch the Brewers or the Dodgers.

Absolutely the right call.  He has given up 15 HRs in his last 8 starts, 23 HR in his last 14 starts, at least 1 HR in 13 of those 14 starts and at least 2 HR in 8 of those 14 starts.  For a game 5 you can't take a chance on a guy that got blasted in the same ballpark by the same team a few days ago.  I am not at all opposed to pitching him in the NLCS if the Cubs advance, but right now with the season on the line, the entire Milwaukee pen at their disposal, etc you can't risk him giving up a 3 run HR or something like that.

Yea, not seeing anyone clamoring for Shota in Milwaukee. I think he might be a fine game 1 starter in LA if they win today. I think it would be a horrible idea to start off the LA series on short rest for the top starters once again. LA does have plenty of pop in the line up, but LA isn't as homer friendly as Milwaukee. Retool with Shota in game 1 in LA, then follow up with Boyd, Taillon or vice versa and Horton if he can be counted on. If Shota does well, you can slate him for another game.

Collin Rea to start tonight with one of Brown or Civale following to get them to the main bullpen arms. Keep the season alive!

I don't know if I actually heard this in the crowd noise at some point, but now I can't get......

"Buschhhhhh (instead of Whoomp), There It Is" out of my head each time he does something significant,

I barely even heard a “whomp” because the noise was so deafening. The crowd was louder than the loud speakers. It reminded me of Tino Martinez’s game 4 2 run homer vs Kim to tie the game in the 9th with the Yankee stadium crowd noise overpowering the loud speakers.

Ive taken my wife to several Phillies games in Milwaukee and the fans are great.

That is because the Phillies are not a rival. They are not the same with the Cubs. Even when they come to Wrigley they can be obnoxious. I would guess fan bases of any home team is friendlier to a fan of the opposing team, if the team isn’t a rival. At least that has been my experience. Phillie fans were great when I went to a game there in Cubs gear.

I'm not rooting for Dodgers.  I also see a Dodgers team that's resembling and playing like 110 win team everyone thought of in the pre-season.  And I understand the Brewers or Cubs have very slim chances against such a team.

Honestly, if the Cubs lose today, I couldn’t care less about who wins. I probably will watch very little baseball if/when the Cubs are eliminated. No rooting interest in any of the teams.

My wife's family all lives in Washington and I've been to Safeco to see a game. Mariners are the only  choice if the Cubs go out.

Pretty much same for me, I'll check the scores and maybe watch if it close at the end of games, but won't really care much otherwise.

I play 20-30 games of baseball a year. Between MiLB and MLB I watch, parts of a disgusting amount of games, frankly, probably embarrassing to admit how many there are. I will subtly root for the Mariners if tonight goes poorly, but once the Cubs are out, I take a timeout in my life from watching baseball only to resume again Opening Day.

I'm looking forward to the ALCS, I like both teams so I can sit back and just enjoy the games.

I'll probably watch some of the NLCS if the Cubs aren't in it. I really just don't care about the Dodgers or Brewers one way or another.
