I’d go Peralta if I was Murphy.  They have the pitching depth to handle a game 5 with high quality arms one way or another.

I would live Peralta pitching tomorrow. He is pitching 1 of these games and I prefer it be tomorrow.

Me too, Cubs would need to face him once to have a chance to move on and it would be better to do so at Wrigley on shorter rest, over him having the home crowd adrenaline and extra rest.

If we do start Boyd it should be with a short, short leash.

I would assume that’s the plan. It’s win or go home.

I'm having a hard time enjoying this win. The Cubs are sucking all the fun out of it.

I get ya but is the (I think) 29th playoff win in the last 80 years of Cubs baseball. They should all be enjoyed.

I I completely agree. Going balls out tomorrow will be fatal for the Brewers if they can’t close it out. I hope they start Peralta tomorrow. You’re going to face him anyway so where do you prefer it to be at?

Yeah they have plenty of guys to piecemeal a game 5.  I just don’t understand where they get all these relievers from.  We are so overmatched

PCA needs to get on base tomorrow via bunt or any way he can. If he gets on 3 to 4 times cubs win.

How many bunt hits do you think PCA had this year?

I’ll be disappointed if Boyd goes tomorrow. Can’t win them all but going down competitively isn’t a big ask

I’m OK as long as he has a very quick hook.

Maybe, this is what they needed to start playing well, something finally went their way.  One game is all it takes to get going.  I think they'll be better, tomorrow a weight has been lifted off their shoulders.

Cubs will not advance in this series unless Boyd gives them 1 okay start. Unless you are hoping on Soroka, Civale orBrown

If you need a quick hook with Boyd, the game is over. He needs to go 5 with 1 or less ERs.

I don't see a universe where the Cubs win this series without Boyd pitching at least once more.

Absolutely not. They cannot win this series without him.

I think he goes tomorrow. Maybe you gambit and roll an opener but I think it's Boyd in G4. You need 4 innings from him.

I should probably know this but, is there a rule about teams announcing their starting pitchers a certain amount of time before the game?  Or can they wait all the way up until gametime?  Is it just a courtesy for them to announce the pitchers in advance?  And what if they don't?  What happens in the scenario where neither manager makes their lineup public until they exchange lineup cards?  Can they both go back and forth making changes to counter the other lineup?

I have no idea why I'm going down this rabbit hole of a hypothetical scenario that never happens.

I still can't quite figure out why the Dodgers are playing at 5:00 tomorrow and the Cubs  are playing at 8:00 (if the Phillies win tonight).  Why would you play two games at 3:00 and 8:00 local times rather than flip them and play at 5:00 and 6:00 local time?
