Why do we keep sending Brown out there? Something clearly isn't working with him. How hard is it to find some guy who can pitch to a 4.3 ERA? Even that would be way better than what Brown is doing this year.

I guess as far as the trade deadline goes, we should be rooting against the bubble teams that have good pitching to sell so they dont decide to hold them 🤷‍♂️

There's only one more bullpen game left til the deadline, what done is done.

They should win their next 5-6 games if they just play good baseball against two bad teams.

What bums are filling out the rotation in Iowa? Can none of them eat innings?

It would require a move to 40 man roster but I wouldn't mind giving Connor Noland an opportunity

They smell blood in the water

I keep hearing people say they’re punching up, and that they’ll regress to the mean, but I’m not so convinced. It’s beyond annoying, but they are a very well run organization, and I don’t think they’re going away.

Anything from Counsell after the game on the status of PCA going forward?

I'm pretty sure I read that they were going to try to get him in the lineup tomorrow.  Doesn't seem like a big deal injury.

Looks like the Brewers circle-jerk will continue another day. Lovely.

How dare we be concerned about the team with the ... *checks notes* ... best record in baseball!

The Brewers are going to win the division. Jed has proven time and time again that he does not know how to build a playoff caliber team. The Brewers do. They constantly have top tier pitching with incredible depth and a good and deep offensive lineup. Not to mention they constantly develop elite prospects both internationally and domestically.

I still cannot beieve there are people here who want to extend Jed. Hes a yes man, whos only job is to make sure Tom makes the most money possible. Jed does not care about winning. Hes been here for almost 5 years and has yet to put together a WS caliber roster in a major market.

The predictability of unhinged doomerism every time the Cubs commit the atrocity of not winning for 48 consecutive hours is hilarious.  Even the best team in baseball will lose 60 games this year, two full months of nothing but blowouts, blown leads, getting shut down by mediocre starters, the whole lot.  It's gonna happen, and yet every time it surprises some folks like a stranger smacked them in the face.

He manages to build one team that might sneak into the playoffs in 5 years, And even if they do manage to sneak into the playoffs they wont go anywhere. This is an extremely overrated team. There are massive holes in the pitching staff, LF, the bench, the bullpen.  We have zero depth anywhere. To even possibly be considered competitive they need two ace caliber pitchers, a mid rotation guy, two lock down pen arms and a 3B to shift Shaw to the bench.

Not sure I'd agree. I think they're able to squeeze extra juice out of a lot of guys. The problem is that they're bringing in a lot of guys who aren't all that talented so getting extra out of them makes them serviceable rather than good.

They seem to do that with outsiders they acquire, yet all the SP they develop throw batting practice fastballs.  Maybe it's a coincidence, who knows.  I'm just venting and ranting like a madman.

The Cubs had the best record in MLB 48 hours ago.

The Taillon injury hasn’t grabbed enough attention. Allowing 32 runs in the 26 innings with the pen relieving an injured Tailon is another annoying obstacle that’s directly contributed to 2 losses vs the cardinals and Royals. Regardless of fans emotional overreactions, which I’m guilty of in the heat of the moment, they can’t acquire another starting pitcher soon enough.
