If the Cubs play .500 ball the rest of the year they'll win 91 games

And lose the division to the Brewers by 15 games

Still don't think the Cub bullpen is a very high priority at the trade deadline unless it's a crazy arm like Clase/Jax/Miller.

For postseason purposes that exactly what they could use, another late inning arm to help Palencia and keep him fresh, dont want what happened to Chapman (burnout) happen again because of overused.

Cubs now have the best record in baseball. Curious how long it'll be until someone complains about the Brewers again.

EDIT: Cubs also have the best run differential and are the highest scoring team in baseball again.

I'm gonna keep doing it, It's absurd they've now held the Dodgers to 4 runs over 39 innings.

Scoreboard watching in July is stupid and pointless. Especially when you aren't chasing anyone and already have the best team.

The Dodgers on some days just look old and slow.  That rotation is still filthy but the lineup... doesn't really instill fear in me.  Unfortunately, I can now see them joining the Suarez sweepstakes

The Dodgers SP fWAR are one of 8 teams that have been worse than the Cubs SP fWAR. Their offense had scored the most runs in baseball until about an hour ago.

Fair point on the lineup.  But I do think their rotation is amazing when healthy.  Yamamoto, Ohtani, Glasnow, Snell, Sasaki.

I’m not gonna sweat it too much but man, I guess the brewers aren’t gonna lose a single game to the Dodgers huh? That’s wild

At least the clock struck midnight on the Cards.

We'll be either 1 or 2 games up on Milwaukee at the end of the day and we're over 60% of the way through the season. It's not early May. It's totally understandable to be seeing what other teams around us are doing. And if you don't think the Brewers are going to seriously challenge us so you're checking the scoreboard to see where the Cubs are in the race for the 1 seed, that's fine too!
