I'm curious if they re-sign Keller in the offseason and try to turn him back into a starter.

Worth pondering....dude has been SO good overall this season and maybe he's unlocked something with Hottovy and the team's pitch lab. As another poster pointed out, he was throwing 99mph tonight to Bregman among others. He's got GOOD stuff.

Boggles my mind that the Cubs can play a 28-18 stretch and lose 5.5 games in the standings over that time.

Yeah, I just saw MIL is leading by a run going into the 9th and so it's probly over because their closer is pretty much lights out. They are really friggin' good and white hot. Dodgers aren't getting it done obviously. My guess is the Brewers have the kid on the mound tomorrow too.

We'll be either 1 or 2 games up on Milwaukee at the end of the day and we're over 60% of the way through the season. It's not early May. It's totally understandable to be seeing what other teams around us are doing. And if you don't think the Brewers are going to seriously challenge us so you're checking the scoreboard to see where the Cubs are in the race for the 1 seed, that's fine too!

Eh, the Cubs have basically been this all year and Milwaukee has been playing at an unsustainable pace for quite a while. I don’t expect them to suddenly lose 9 in a row, but they’re going to falter a bit soon.

Tigers are on a serious losing binge right now.  Given what the Crew are doing out West I’d say the two best teams in baseball are in the NL Central, at least right now.

The Dodgers on some days just look old and slow.  That rotation is still filthy but the lineup... doesn't really instill fear in me.  Unfortunately, I can now see them joining the Suarez sweepstakes

They invested a lot of money in expensive arms and aging hitters.  They might have better luck with the pitchers next year though.

Unfortunately they have a highly rated farm system somehow, which is really annoying.

Imagine going 33-13 over that same stretch and still not be in first place 🤷‍♂️😅

It'll come down to the last 8 head to head games between these two and August should favor the Cubs schedule wise and after roster upgrades at the trade deadline.

That 5 game series at home against the Brewers gonna be rocking.
