I was watching on my phone when Happ hit the GS, and turned the TV on right after the Tucker triple. I shut it off again after the Gurriel HR. I turned the phone on to see Happ single and Tuck hit a bomb.

Sorry for almost blowing it.

In the last 2 games the Cubs have played Arizona, they've allowed 18 runs in the 8th inning combined.

And split those games.

I was gonna turn it off, but I just (like during the 7th inning) signed a job offer after 7 months of being unemployed and was like, today is a good day, I'll let it ride

Wondering if the Cubs have ever given up 10 runs in an inning (in the 8th, no less) and still won.

Incredible!

I bet it is extremely rare thing for any team.

17 runs scored by the 2 teams over the last 2 innings. horsefeathers bonkers.

I'm honestly trying to recall seeing something like that live, and I'm not sure I can.

Not as cool but in the last 2 games the Cubs have played Arizona they’ve scored 9 runs in the 8th inning combined.

I think Pat said on the radio that the most combined runs in an inning is 19. We “only” combined for 16

As much as I rail on Jed, acquiring 2 of the 5 best hitters in baseball (Tucker and Kelly) over a 24 hour span is pretty impressive.

Why stop there? Bottom 7th, top 8th, bottom 7th produced 21 runs.
