I read a piece in The Athletic written by one of the Cardinals' beat writers. The writer was critical of the Cardinals' offseason and general approach in Mozeliak's last year. The article mostly focused on their failure to execute their plans. The best part of the article was the comments from Cardinal fans. It was like reading MAGAs after someone said Trump might have committed crimes.

Cardinals had the worst net loss in attendance in the league this season

The best part is that they gave up twice. They came back briefly when the team started playing better and then quit on them a second time. 🤣

So this team has, remarkably, snapped off nine wins in a row. They need to go back to their sucky ways.

They will. They had a win tonight against a good team, but their schedule is brutal for about a month.

Say they make it as a WC and face the Dodgers how confident are you going to feel about trotting out Sonny Gray?  Sure, the smoke and mirrors act worked Friday and for Fedde today, it's baseball it sometimes happens.  Wouldn't count on it happening again.  Think Freeman is going to keep coming up empty with runners on facing Gray? Think Ohtani is going to take another ineffective 1-4? And, by the way, the mighty Cardinals didn't do anything with Yamamoto, not his fault the Dodgers bullpen is doing their impersonation of the Cubs bullpen in April.

In a playoff game I would feel more confident in Gray than I would in any present Cubs starter. Their defense is their carrying tool, however.

The thing is though, they will likely have an active deadline so who knows what their rotation will look like come playoff time.

The Cardinals are definitely gonna be in the mix.

I think the Cardinals fall in between one poster who hates them and gives them no credit for being a decent team and suggesting they will “definitely be in the mix”. I think they are decent. While I do not think they will fall off, I also do not fear they will win 90 games. I think they are a low 80’s win team. Decent. Same with the Brewers. So if the Cubs do what we all feel they should do, win 90+ games, the Cardinals shouldn’t be much of a factor. If low 80’s puts them in a WC mix, so be it. But think even that number will be closer to 87 or so. And I do not think any team in the central except the Cubs will win 87 games.

The Cardinal played a video of Matt Adams hitting a HR off of Kershaw in the NLDS before his start against. them.

Kershaw: "I think it's a little bush league, but I don't expect anything else from these guys."

HOF comment right there.

A. I hate the Cardinals.

B. Kershaw should stop being a little bitch.  Don't give up the HR if you don't want to get trolled.

C. One of their starting pitchers is going to go on the IL at some point and they're so thin that it'll kill them.  They've gotten all but 3 starts from 5 guys and I'm pretty sure 2 of them were openers or something of that nature.

Ehhhhhh

It's worth mentioning that the cards are classless and that'a good opportunity to do that. I don't know the specifics, but if it was done right as he got on the mound, that's not something that most teams would have done.

Even the best give up home runs in big spots and that was a great retort to a baited question. I have no problems with this

Rockies had gone 220 games without recording a shutout before today. It was the third longest streak in major league history and they’re the only team since 1900 to go at least 200 games without a shutout.

They beat the Cardinals 6-0 today.

The Rockies are 32-88. 4 of those 32 wins are against the Cardinals who they are now 4-2 against. Those 4 wins represent 12.5% of Colorado's total wins this season.

Well surely you didn’t expect Brown to catch it

He wasn't in Milwaukee so he had a chance at least.
