Bote with another HR. He's haveing a good spring.

He had a nice Spring last year, too, if I recall. I suggested right here on this site that the good Spring might give him some trade value.  The suggestion was quickly shot down as poppycock.  The shooter was correct as he basically languished in the Minors all year.

Also just a reminder for anyone thinking about him making the roster, Bote is no longer on the 40 man so its extremely unlikely he'll be on the OD roster no matter how well he hits.

I know how to read a box score but did he get any swings and misses?

I guess nobody really knows since the game wasn't televised.

My apologies.  I assumed that you didn't have access to this at that moment.

Yep, that is also against Bote. For a hot second I was in the camp of trade Wisdom and just let Bote be the last guy. I have since realized, with help of other posters, that isn’t happening. Being a reverse split guy and  not in the 40 man roster, make him very unlikely. If they are going to put someone on the 40 man to make the OD roster I would rather have Cooper, who hits left handed pitching very well. I would still trade Wisdom to make that happen.

They must not have enough dough to pay Boog and JD to do ST games.

Road game. They're drinking with the vets.

So far, so good. If Killian’s almost 100 mph heater suddenly becomes an out pitch, he’s suddenly a lot more interesting than he was last year.

Too early to tell though. Wesneski looked super sharp last year during ST, and then he disappeared during the regular season,

Yeah, that was weird. Hudson immediately saw something and was signaling the dugout and they got him out in a hurry. Hope it’s nothing major. He’s looked good.

Ben Brown. He was filthy. Dude looks MLB ready already. Matt Shaw can play some excellent defense at third. The future is bright.

Luke Little should be on the opening day roster

Yeah, they have some tough decisions to make.

That was a really cool in game interview of PCA. Seems like a thoughtful and good kid, regardless of some of his antics lol.

I'd guess he's got a pretty good shot.  I think there's one spot in the pen not totally spoken for, and it'll come down to Cuas, Little, and Palencia.  I'd guess the order I listed them is the order of likelihood, but I don't think Cuas is an overwhelming favorite by any means.

In 159 IP at all levels in his career he's given up only 2 HR and ridiculous K/9, he's a beast.

Over the course of the winter I've mostly resigned myself to the fact that Brown is not going to be a SP.  But he's going to be an absolute monster reliever.

Yeah gotta think Almonte is a lock since he has no options, and Cuas has 2 options left.  Assuming Wicks is the #5 SP, the 8th pen spot is between Wesneski, Cuas, Thompson, Palencia, Little, and maybe Kilian.  Nobody else is on the 40-man.  I think Cuas has the upper hand there.  Wesneski probably needs work again in AAA.
